    1. Hi Rick, it is indeed Wulf (1 f). The award date of his MMV2 is 1.5.1918 according to his Militärpass which is stamped by the LIR80 III bataillon. Hope you can use this info. Greetings Poulton

But nonetheless I am quite happy with the grouping. If you ned more info, please let me know. Greetings, Poulton
    3. Hello Rick, thanks for your opinion. Usefull information to know that there is no way to eliminate the suspects. I like this bar very much with its nice silky ribbons. Greetings from Flanders, Poulton
    4. Gentlemen, thank you very much for your replies and info. Nice to know the 2-er is from Baden. I could never have found that for myself! Greetings, Poulton
    5. Hello gentleman, I just wanted to show you a medal bar I acquired a few weeks ago. I traded this one against some other medal bars. It comes with documents as you can see. It is not an offiziersspange but I am very happy with it, hope you like it too. Greetings from Flanders, Poulton Palmer
    6. Hello gentlemen, having a medal bar identified which I didn't think was possible (thanks again Rick), gives courage to present another one. I posted this one also in the NC topic. Maybe this one can be identified, or be narrowed down to X possibilities. Why do I think/hope this? * Because of the limited issue of the SEHO Carl Eduard mit X; * The lack of other interesting awards. But I might be too optimistic. Love to hear opinions. Greetings, Poulton Palmer
    7. Hello gentlemen, I acquired these a few months ago. I know what all the ribbons stand for, but can't find out what the small one consists off (the third one). Is this something from Lippe-Detmold? Greetings from Poulton Palmer
    8. Hello Rick, I have blacklighted this and no glow on the white ribbon! I am amazed this could be id'd! Many thanks for that! But I am really amazed at the speed of your researchwork! You must be very efficient and I have very much respect for that. It is interesting to know what our dear mr Schmidt was doing during 14-18, trying to find out. When you are ever in Flanders, please contact me, I can show you real-time trenches (not so known ones) and we can drink a few super belgian beers! Greetings from Flanders! Poulton Palmer
    9. Hello gentlemen, I am a little bit shy to ask, because of all the beautifull bars in the previous topics, but here it goes: Does this one make any chance of ever being identified or is this hopeless? (If you never take a shoot, you always miss: old dutch saying) (I posted this one once in a topic about NC bars). Kind regards from Flanders, Poulton
    10. Hi, I like these also, especially the first. Two nice hinges (hope this is the right word) on the back. Is the width of the first ribbon bar a little bit bigger than by most ribbon bars? Greetings Poulton.
    11. Hi Chip, Thank you for the info. The former owner said that the pair XVIII boards were from 18th ArmeeKorps. This seems strange to me. Greeting from Flanders, Poulton
    12. Verzeihung, Deutsch ist nicht meine Muttersprache. Vielleicht schon mal passiert hier in GMIC??? MfG, Stephan

    14. Hello to all, I traded these last sunday at a local fair. Not my cup of thea, but I couldn't resist them. They look great, what do you think? These supposedly should be Hessen shoulder boards, it came with a nicely framed picture of a soldier in Regiment 168. I didn't have time to look this up yet, but I will! The back is a little bit blurry. Greetings, Poulton
    15. You were right, Saschaw already posted this one, a month ago or so. But it was re-offered again this week. In future I will post this kind of things in the proper section. Greetings, Poulton
    16. Hello guys, I saw this bar on ebay, 15 ribbons. Too nice, many countries also, looks strange to me: I wouldn't buy it. Am I right?? Greetings Poulton.
    17. Hello gentlemen, there are some amazing spanges over here! Congrats. Here a somewhat more modest medal bar but I was very happy to get it at the auktion. Greetings from Flanders! Poulton.
    18. Okay, thanks Don. The ring of the MVK didn't convince me also, too thin and no hallmark: I 'd better not touch it then! Greetings Poulton.
    19. Hello, Here are some better pics. There isn't a hallmark anywhere. Front: Back: Ring: Maybe a postwar piece? Greetings Poulton.
    20. Hello gents, I came along this medal bar. I could trade it against some of my own material. The Braunschweig peninsula medal misses his ribbon as you can see. I could try and find this ribbon and then repair the bar. But should I bother? Is this combo even possible? I haven't seen such a combo before. There is a FEK but there isn't a EKII and no LS award. Greetings, Poulton
    21. Very nice bar! The Somme cross is in a less common variant: Beautiful!! I also like the Regimental cross: can't you find a Regimentsgeschichte of IR 161? Good luck, Poulton.
    22. @Saschaw: thanks for your opinion. Glad to hear that the ribbon bar looks ok. @redeagleorder: so it is combattant: thanks for your reaction. Is there any way there can be deducted in which regiments these combo's could be possible? Am I correct assuming this is a Prussian gentleman? Greetings Poulton.
    23. Hi Stogieman, I had to find a blacklight, but managed to borrow one. The backing and stitching doesn't light up or whatsoever. Is that as it should be? Thanks for the reaction. Poulton
    24. Hello gentlemen, I found this ribbon bar at a local militaria fair today. I was triggered by the absence of a FEK and TR ribbons. It wasn't expensive so I took the chance that it may be not original. Ribbon bar precedence: Please correct me if I am wrong: * EKII: very worn and damaged ribbon; * Preussen: Hohenzollern with swords; * Hessen: Ernst Ludwig Verdienst Medaille; the ribbon is not white but actually kind of light blue-ish; * Oldenburg: FA cross second class??; * Braunschweig: war merit cross second class. Any opinions are appreciated. Greetings Poulton.
