I'm posting the portrait and medal bar for VtwinVince From the picture he is a Feldwebel of Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 113 I checked the Regimental History of IR113 for 1870/71 and found two NCOs that had been awarded: EKII, Zähringer Löwen Orden Kl.II mit Schwerter and the silver Karl-Friedrich Verdienstmedaille. their names are: Feldwebel Michael Marbeiter of 1./Kompagnie IR113 Feldwebel Franz Joseph Oechsner of 7./Kompagnie IR113

During the Franco-Prussian War 1870/71 he was not with IR110, IR113, Dragoner Rgt.21 and 22

Is any unit of his known?

Funny, in 1945 the only Germans still wearing smart uniforms were actors.

The text refers to the theater play (Bühnenstück) "Die Fahne" by Otto Emmerich Groh The image shows the actor (I don't know his name) playing the part of the Gouverneur General Gregor Werkonen at the Munich Theater, probably in 1945. The play was also made into an UFA movie with the title "Der Gouverneur" in 1939 with Willy Birgel as the Governor.

I scanned a group of very small pictures - once enlarged it revealed quite dramatic images taken after a tank battle in the Luga sector on a cold autumn day in 1941.

The papers are: death-certificate, witness statements identifying the departed and inheritance certificate of a German national by the name of Ferdinand Max Kònig from Gehaar near Rüstringen, Germany (living in Bejing) who died in Peking (Bejing) China on June 28, 1921 at 1pm. Ferdinand Max Kònig was born in Neidorf, Prussia, on September 15, 1876 At the time of his death he held the rank of Major (retired) - he was not married and left all his belongings to his parents in Germany.
