    1. It's a North Rheinland Fire Cross of Merit, another of the state awards (like yours) that were allowed to be issued between 1934 - 1936, prior to the introduction of the Reich Crosses seen earlier in this thread. Yours is the one issued by Prussia for the same period. Cheers Don
    2. Also from 1934....... Cheers Don
    3. Great picture James. Any idea what the other one is? Cheers Don
    4. I never cease to be amazed by what has survived through the years. I was in a stamp shop in Munich recently & they had a couple of these that had just been brought in by someone. Cheers Don
    5. Very Nice James, I especially like the SA one, a very neat design. Cheers Don
    6. My, that is a big one Pete...... Welcome aboard James, looking forward to some seeing some more of your tinnies & badges. Cheers Don
    7. It certainly make you wonder doesn't it Rick . I don't go to shows either so can't say if that's where they are heading. As with most fakes, they won't fool the experianced eye, but may catch out someone just starting I suppose Cheers Don
    8. I would just like to say what an excellent & informative thread this is turning out to be. Thank you Gentlemen & especially to Prosper for the extra background info. Cheers Don
    9. Mike, This particular company only appear to be doing the hollow backs at present. I imagine someone else is probably doing the solids, but I haven't knowingly seen one yet. I don't know if that's good news or bad to be honest.... They have added more to their range, the backs have the same style on all of them. Here's their site http://www.azzie.biz/ Bob, That's very true, this company advertise them as copies & make no pretence that they are real. What really worries me are the ones that try to get them correct in every detail Cheers Don
    10. Am I missing anything Stogieman? All I see are squares Cheers Don
    11. No problem Nan Su, I moved the thread to the "Other Political and Civil Organisations Forum" where NSDAP items should be. Cheers Don
    12. As I've only the one KM award I thought I should post it, I hope it will pass .... Bought it from Detlev many moons ago. Cheers Don
    13. Hi Nan Su, I have changed the topic title for you. Interesting looking medal, I will be interested in the views of the medal collectors here on this one. Cheers Don
    14. It sure does look suspicious........ Especially concidering the wear to the paint work compared to the condition of the decal. Cheers Don
    15. Very nice Micha. Looks like a blue veined decal, is it? Cheers Don
    16. Me too . Looking forward to seeing more pix. Cheers Don
    17. I'd be very cautious with that particular LS helmet. Notice how all the tell-tale areas used for spotting a fake decal are missing...... You'd have to see it in hand before judging, but I personally wouldn't touch it. Cheers Don
    18. Thanks Micha, No I'm afraid not. I never seemed to get around to looking for one. Cheers Don
    19. Very nice, you are indeed correct in that '42s are difficult to come by, especially with nice decals. Thanks for sharing them with us. Cheers Don
    20. Dave, I'm certainly no expert on these things & have yet to find one that I'm happy with. Here's a link to a thread concerning these 9000 series badges from GDC. This very badge is shown in the thread..... http://daggers.infopop.cc/groupee/forums/a...3092#8870033092 Cheers Don
    21. Here's my beaded M40. Slight difference in that it has the blue veined decal as opposed to the black veined type. Not rare, just unusual. Cheers Don
    22. Resized & posted for Warlord. If you need the full size image I can crop it in half & post it in 2 sections. Cheers Don
    23. Thanks Rick, I was beginning to think I was invisible Cheers Don
