    1. A 5 place bar with the only non-combattant ribbon I have saved. The last ribbon might rather be for an Ottoman War Medal than for the Hamburg Hanseatic Cross ...
    2. A quite interresting 9 place medal bar that has been sold on Ebay Germany for 346,- Euro: Seems to be one of those Feldwebels or similar, probably no officer ... (and I used to think it was not kosher )
    3. A 8 place medal bar that has been sold at Hermann Historika, Munich, if I remember correctly for 3.200,- Euro:
    4. The 19 place ribbon bar of Generalmajor Hans-Richard Lorenz (1879-1968). My apologize, I cannot remember in whose collection it is ...
    5. Hmm, I'm sorry, but I thought to have some more, but I had a big data loss two years ago which seems to have taken also some nice bars from my database ... So here are all bars with "Sachsen-Meiningen, Ehrenzeichen für Verdienst im Kriege" that I found on my PC, including also some of members of this forum. If someone doesn't like me to show a bar in his posses here, please contact me to remove these pictures. My apologize to those I cannot name the owner, but I cannot remember anything to every bar. First, the 20 place ribbon bar of Friedrich Freiherr von Dincklage-Campe (1839-1918) which used to belong Heiko:
    6. I have one bar with SMK (better: a bar where one should be, bar is ripped off ) and some pictures(!) of veeery nice bars that have been on Ebay in the last years. I'm not sure if I may post them and if anyone likes the see them at all? I also have two Meiningen documents, but both just for the Women's and Virgin's cross, not for the SMK ... These are no eventually topic, hmm? Or would this all only disturb the thread which is actually about the rolls?
    7. Thanks, that might be, but the third ribbon on my button IS for sure Bavarian - and not really very similar to the Greek Redeemer, in my humble opinion ... He was most likely a Prussian, and Bavaria is as foreign as Norway or Italy is, isn't it (for a Prussian ca. 1900) ?!
    8. I think it's not to common, but 150,- ? would really be to much. Niemann wrote it in his katalogue - probably no printing mistake, but a mistake indeed, and so he sells them much cheaper. The price he asked for it is a normal one in my humble opinion ...
    9. No sorry, this is definitely the Bavarian one, the ribbon is faded out and much stronger where "the light doesn't reach" ... (and Holy Michael is the typical award given to such persons, whoever he was, I've no idea) But I'm not sure with Norway, is'n there a English ribbon that looks the same? Victoria Order or something like this? I'm not really familiar with British awards, not at all ...
    10. Here pictures of a button in my little collction. Please don't(!) ID it, if it's possible it's in my honest opinion not worth the work, but what I indeed like to hear is what you think it might be for most likely as RR says "That is the problem with RIBBONS alone. Too many :banger:banger.gif could be MORE THAN ONE THING!" and is very right with it ... My idea is: - Preu?en, Roter Adler Orden; - Italien, Orden der Italienischen Krone; - Bayern, Verdienstorden vom Hl. Michael; - Norwegen, Olafs-Orden; - D?nemark, Danebrog-Orden. All of course Knight cross or similiar, Red Eagle probably IV. Class ...
    11. That would make sense, but Nimmergut gives another ribbon for this medal: the same as for the merit cross. So I guess he's wrong and the old napoleonic ribbon has been reused as anyway none was still walking around with it in World War I ?!
    12. Uh-oh, isn't there a little mistake on the Prussian one? Someone has mixed up Russia uns Prussia, hmm? "Zeal" ...
    13. It seems almost I forgot about this thread, my apologize. A million thanks to Rick for the research and the found information. PS: Old Kurt'd be proud of you.
    14. Thanks Rick, I'll look to get a 4 place mini chain, as these buttons look rather strange without ribbons, don't they? If it would not have matched I have had to split it up, but without problem as they did not even cost the price of singles on ebay.
    15. Dear Gentlemen, I purchased this one on ebay.de some weeks ago, but as the ribbons are missing I'm not sure if it's might be a put together. What do you think: is this combination impossible, possible or likely? The Hungarian is NOT the non combatant version!
    16. This one is real Gold indeed, and US$ 1,200.- is a normal price I'd actually liked almost to pay, if I had the money. The first one mounted I've ever seen - great bar, thanks for showing.
    17. Actually not? The Austrians are worn in front of Hungary and Bulgaria, which is the most likely order, also pre 1938. Nothing German behind the two Austrians ...
