    1. Hi, have never seen anything like it, it looks to be a nice souvenier/commercial piece with no official standing?
    2. OK, just to keep the list up to date... I have found 2 more... Source 1 had ... Frieda Gessert Elfriede Scherhaus Sophie Gräfin zu Toerring-Jettenbach Lonny Hertha von Versen Source 2 had... Karoline Bührer Anna Scheermann Source 3 ...I have found 2 more in the book "Unser Eisernes Kreuz" Schwester Aust, who recieved it along with a personal congratulations from the Oberbehelshaber des Ostheeres GFM v. Hindenburg, so this puts it in December 1914 or later (She also later recieved a Rettungsmedaille) Schwester Frida Schlenker, date unknown

    8. "So let's say he was a private/NCO during WWI. Then he was "reactivated" in 30s." Why would he have to be reactivated in the 1930s? This could be a man who left the Army in 1918 and never put a uniform on again. He could have been an embassy driver, watchman or cook in the 1920s or 30s ?
    9. The cost used to be something along the lines of "although being seriously wounded, he killed two poor sods who were just as unhappy to be in the trench as he was... so we give him a medal".... Now it seems to be "EUR35 average price..." I remember getting them for DM15 at a show.... some of you guys go back even furhter... Nowdays I see them for EUR50....60... or more..... How has it changed over the last 10 years... where are the prices headed? are certain makers commanding super premium prices? Best Chris
    10. Hi, can anyone give me a very rough pointer... a KM Soldbuch with the red "U"... what are the rough values? With and without awards? From the tiny, tiny photo, the guy was serving 1943-44 I have not been able to see the inside pages.... >Thanks Chris
    11. At the Moment between germany and Southern Europe... later maybe Canada again... all is open at the moment ;-)
    12. I have no idea about the symbolism, but isnt pakistan and India really well known for brass work? I dont know about the symbolism shown, but it is possible that the guy making it chose symbols at random. Be careful about taking that hom with you... can cause problems in some countries ;-)
