Then there is definitely no possibility of this being a virgins cross..... ;-) But there must be a better english expression for this... it was afterall not meant to be "Virgins" Tom Young had a superd one of these a few years ago....

Can anyone show some good close ups of the beltbuckles (and belts) found on the brown leather field belts? I am after a good one and the two I saw over the last 6 months were of pretty poor quality. Best Chris

Indeed. And what is an interesting thought, these are not like is so often seen bunkers in the sides of a hill. I imagine in 1919 or so they just filled this up with sand and bomb debris and there are big underground hollows there today..... with beds, stoves, bits of mouldy cloth and the occasional long forgotten body....

Of course... in Germany there are hundreds of Beamter jokes...., mostly revolve around them sitting on their butts... Why do Beamte wear glasses... so when they fall asleep at their desks they dont poke themselves in the eye with a pencil...

As the raid mentioned above can hardly be called small, and Reddemann does not mention it... it seems he did skip over a number of things, I have never had a full trust in his book.
