    1. Hi, I picked these up a few days ago, no idea what they are, could be Berlin Choral association or it could be Bulgarian Tram conductor.... any ideas?
    2. Hi, what can a "M" mean? The Nachrichten Zug of the 8th Bavarian Infantry Regt became an Abteilung, but is listed an the N.M.A. ..... what could the "M" be? Thanks Chris
    3. Hi, things I dont like about it... why would a maker put eppaulettes on it? They are the wrong ones anyway... and the seam runs a good 1.5cm wide of the edge, usually they are much closer.
    4. Hi Heiko, I Batl from Landsturm batl Schwerin II Batl from Ladst Btl Kreuzburg III Batl Landsturm ersatz Bataillon Gleiwitz. Formed in October 1916 Best Chris
    5. Hi, may not be super rare, but I must admit, I have seen thousands of pics over the years, I have seen very few with the covered up numbers. It would be interesting to see if it is possible to narrow it down to a few regiments? I guess it would not have been on the guys own initiative but rather orders for the unit?
    6. Hi, agreed, but I had only ever seen b.I.R. before, no s.I.R. or w.I.R. ... so o.I.R. came as a surprise. I thought Bavaria was the only state that qualified. best Chris
    7. It is really interesting that they stamp it O.I.R. !! I has a mint black Lacquered felt Tschako in my hands a few weeks ago, was a strange feeling holding it!!
    8. Hi, here is a scarce baby, A Naval Infantry/Artillery Bread bag. It has the one strap in the middle...
    9. Hi, nope, the buttons are on the correct side in the 1st paic, in the reversed pic you see the bayonet is now on the wrong side and the tunics suddenly button from te wrong side.
    10. Hi, this was my wifes grandfathers. He could not remember where he got it, It may have been his award piece, or it was a replacement (he lost most of his gear when his Destroyer was sunk at Narvik. I do know it is not an accepted award piece and go with the second theory. He was awarded the EK on the 3rd of January 1939. Interesting is the small loop, fits perfectly on the ribbon bar hook, but hard to thread a ribbon through it.... I guess there are rarer ones, but I think this is pretty up there.....
    11. Hi Francois, how do you pinpoint it to Georges-Émile ? It is great to see something positively identified! :-)

    13. And veeeery nicely mounted! I prefer these single mounts to bars with the Ehrenkreuz on them as well ;-)
