    1. But why Lewis as opposed to Winters himself?
    2. For display reasons smaller is better, and seem to bring better prices. I have no idea what mine was used for, but I could cover a car with it...
    3. How did you choose this specific theme? Best Chris
    4. Its hard to say... but may be about right. Flags are hard to display, unless you have a "cool swastika"... they drag a bit on price... I would go for it myself... but I have one even bigger... stored somewhere... god knows where.... ;-)
    5. Aye, it was cheap.... Was really looking forward to the WS, but I think an honest mistake on the sellers part....
    6. Bit of a disapointment today... I bought a nice WS with repaired hook from an ebay seller, he mixed his crosses up and send me this, and sold the WS again.... So a nice KO, but I would have liked the WS better....
    7. Will ask a friend when he comes over to visit... he is really into kitchen stuff from the war as he is a cook
    8. Hats off to these guys... I visited a demining team in cambodia... not a job I would like to have... http://www.funker530.com/how-to-disarm-a-live-landmine-as-demonstrated-with-a-live-landmine/
    9. A work that includes notes from Jünger adds a bit to this....
    10. I think that theory has been buried
    11. Hi, An "Übergrosse" Fetisch!! Nice crosses! I forget, has the maker been identified? Best Chris
    12. Who is "we"... are the women included in the "we" or were they at the pub?
    13. Hi, For the killed in action a certificate was awarded..... http://kaiserscross.com/40029/129601.html These were introduced Mid war, there are different ones for Prussia, bavaria etc..... Also around the Mid war period they started awarding the iron Cross 2nd class to men who were badly wounded and invalided out of the army. But a real wound award only appeared in 1918. Best Chris
    14. I mean my jeaulousy knows no limits when I see some of the stuff in your collection ;-)
    15. Hi Chuck, always great to see a new face and hope we see lots more of you!!! Some time ago someone posted more up to date figures than Klietmann, I just cannot remember where :-(
    16. I saw a photo that really, really intrigued me.... a group of soldiers with Picklehaube with e "3" on them, and displayed in front of them, on a Pyramid of 3 rifles, a bavarian Jäger tschako... I could not help thinking that it may have been 3rd Jäger Regiment men with their Bavarian Tschako in front of them....
    17. I agree 100%, thats why I think these are likely to be "Version one"... and they were soon improved on with another system. I found it sexy because of the card :-)
    18. Yes... horribly often that Adler posts something that helps me hate the rest of the world just that much more :-(
    19. This looks unusual to me.... It does not have the stamping on the rim, and the loop is stamped with the medal, then twisted for the ring... a very unusual variation? I am guessing private purchase? Even the design is a bit different.... see how the wreath does not join at the top....
    20. Hi, I seem to have lost the link, does anyone know how many Lübeck crosses were awarded compared to Bremen and Hamburg? Thanks Chris
    21. Hi, I am working on it. I would like to make it affordable and at the same time divide any profits between kaiserscross and GMIC to subsadise the running costs
    22. P.S. It will not be a work about the Sturm Units themselves, just Sturm Unit related militaria (Militärpasses, Certificates, Photos etc) + A few period publications that no longer fall under copyright. Thomas has covered the written parts in his books, so I would just like to add some extras to the theme for the collectors.
