    1. "a man such as God meant men to be, lucid and serene in mind, imperturbable in danger."
    2. BW is right.... apparently this is used as the range is close enough to suburbia that the neighbours complain about the noise...
    3. I put it on all my pieces incase they go missing... "Kris"
    4. apparently an artillery silencer.... but for what purpose? ;-)
    5. In all fairness, I think the present seller bouht it in good faith. I have contacted him to inform him it is bad. Best Chris
    6. Although it had been agreed that the fake doc would be destroyed... it is now back in circulation.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RARE-ORIGINAL-WW-I-GERMAN-MACHINE-GUNNERS-EK-CITATION-AND-MILITARPASS-GROUPING-/390634043738?pt=UK_Collectables_Militaria_LE&hash=item5af39a795a
    7. Hi, I found this on a watch chain, really well made indeed.... does anyone know the era? Is it 11th Company?
    8. I think a rare one, not the automatic certificate, but privately paid "extra"
    9. Hi, Thanks for the offer Albert, i still have a piece spare. Herman, it is 59606
    10. Hi, no, he served in WW1, but the bar stops in 1918 and does not have any postwar awards... which I always find nice :-)
    11. This was a really good read... http://chrishernandezauthor.com/2013/07/09/working-with-the-french-army/
    12. Have not read the book or seen the film, but dont recall ever having read about Boers shooting British Prisonners? In fact, as posted a few days ago, some British soldiers were captured and released a number of times ... noone thought to shoot them, even though it seemed certain they would take up arms again... So whatever legal technicality they are dusting off now... I think they deserved what they got.
    13. A wild guess... not based on anything.... but if a Guy was an Army qualified pilot, and joined the navy... could he have maybe have worn gold wings?
    14. "On 9 May 2012, Nicola Roxon indicated that the Australian government would not be pursuing the issue further with the British, on the basis that there was no doubt that the three men had committed the killings for which they were convicted. The Australian government’s position is that pardons are only appropriate where an offender is both ”morally and technically innocent” of the offence. Roxon also noted the seriousness of the offences involved, explaining that “I consider that seeking a pardon for these men could be rightly perceived as ‘glossing over’ very grave criminal acts.” No matter what the reality TV trial brings, the aussie Govt remains rational.
    15. "Morant had been drafted by the British to help fight a guerrilla war against the Boers as part of the Bushveldt Carbineers, a story recounted in Kit Denton's novel and the 1980 movie detailing Breaker Morant's life." he was drafted?
    16. Astonishing detail for such small pieces! Really apparent when you see the whole chain...
