    1. S'funny, i had a green Hessen Metal one (Dont know why there are green and grey) and it also had a tab with a maker. A French buckle collector I met at a show said he had never had one with a leathe tab. From memory the green one had a different tab. I traded it to killer2lamour on the French forum Best Chris
    2. Thats the full Macgyver kit, cell phone pouch, sunglasses pouch etc. etc... 2 more do-dads on the belt and he could be an LA cop!
    3. Hi, seems to have served in WW1 as well, got at least the Iron Cross 2nd class in WW1, and a clasp for it as it was awarded again to him in WW2. he also has the Iron Cross 1st class, hard to see if it was WW1 or WW2, I will go out on a limb and say WW1. The wound badge looks to be (out on a limb again) a WW1 Wound badge. Do you have any other photos of him?
    4. Could it be that Brass was the originaly introduced metal, and these were slowly replaced with aluminium? I did not know they even used it that far back for Insignia....
    5. Hi, They are close to local stamps, its the wifes Grandfather, he transfered to the NSKK as he found it less political than the SA.
    6. I was very, very lucky that just by chance my wifes Grandmother turned this a few weeks ago....

    8. That is EXACTLY the reason i am considering. I prefer them in a frame or shadow box, but what comes after me?
    9. A friend in France just landed me this... I have yet to find one of the older round ones in an acceptable condition...
    10. What was really cool.... the cloth belt was just the rmains, but it had its full amount of rounds, and they were in perfect shape, all 1918 dated.... They are the rounds in the drum today (with new belt of course) All rounds emptied using an armourors hammer thingy and heads back in tight as a drum...
    11. The newly painted one was a barn find, inside was fine, but the outside had a rust that stripped all paint off it....
