      I ppicked up another EK2 doc today... nice as it is from September 1916. My others are December 16 and April 17 (Although the April guy was at Souville)

      Hi, I am just going from memory here, but I think there was a cut off date in the mid 80s where you had to register automatic weapons, it it was registered by then you had a wepon worth a lot... if it was not, then you had an illegal firearm? Best Chris

      Its kinda subtle, but I see it now.. the downward angle of the knurls on the handle is a tad more extreme than the other ones... the others are closer to "feft to right" and it is more "north to south"

      IMHO probably post WW1, but no idea of the maker. Some collectors poo-poo post war EKs, for me an EK made 14-18 or 18-into the 30s are same-same... It has to be otherwise most of the really sexy ones we like are Poo-poo's

      OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH..... I just noticed the pun in the header.... ! I am looking... but dont see the diff between regular and slanted? S'funny you should have brought this old thread to life (and good!) but yesterday for the first time in eons I actually thought of a Heer Dagger and thought, I shoulda actually have collected them starting 20 years ago....

      Doenst it have to have been declared before a certain date to be legal? I think there was a thing with illegal automatic wepons brought back are now to late to make legal, thats why they cut the recievers?
