    1. Not my field of collecting, but it seems to be a one looker. if I needed another I would buy it without worries of any kind.
    2. Yup, there are some old guys out there... just ask Rick and Gordon Williamson (he is already retired)
    3. Nothing wrong with it... I hear certain chicks dig it.... When I reach some of you guys age... maybe I will have a bit less on my head than in my ears and nose as well :-)
    4. Maybe a question of retooling? "22" made round 3 crosses at one stage.
    5. Liverpool is very good... but this is out of their regular field of expertise.
    6. And isnt there at least one medal he should have had missing?
    7. Silly question.... isnt the order of medals waaaaaaaaay off?
    8. Often overlooked are the very diverse stamps on these and the research potential for the signatures... somtimes high party and police officials.
    9. Introduced in the 3rd Reich era but for actions in WW1... what spoils an imperial bar more than an Ehrenkreuz? How I sigh and say... "If only THAT was not on it :-( "... But that is one (of many) collectors opinions.... the ugly boring medal hides a lot of history... and the documents hide it even more.... If only the guys units were on it instead of what he was doing in the early 30's.... But... it seems that in 1935 the medal was not looked down on... and objectively it should not be, it symbolizes horrors we cannot imagine.... Here is Hans Fleischhackers HK doc...
    10. Indeed... imagine being buried by an artillery shell and being gassed at the same time... must have scared the hell out of him.
    11. Hi, thanks, I will use the 2nd one of old baldy. Best Chris

    15. Hi, It is an early tag, I have seen a number of these. Usually regiment and comany and company number. I assume the one pictured is the Ersatz Batln. of the Landwehr regiment. Whats missing is the individuals number. Here is an example for the RIR37 (Top right of the page) http://www.kaiserscross.com/60401/60643.html I believe these are known as the 1878 model

    18. Here is a rare bird. The tear in the bottom was unfortunately due to the packing when it was sent to me.
    19. Good guess. I thought "..at" but did not kmoe Stations-Zug was a possibility.
    20. Although it does not seem to fit the text, Bruckenbau is the only logical answer I can think of?
    21. Oooohhh... no idea... Bought it between 6-8 years ago, sold it 2-3 years ago? I cant remember ... I am getting old...
