Did the cops say what the chances are of finding them? I think there will a double tragedy... the theft being act one, the pulling apart of the bars as part 2. Mabye the best thing to focus on would be the chips and scratches on individual medals?

I would class that as a "talks to you" ribbon and leaveit like it is. It "looks" WW2, if you had bright and shinyyou could shell out USD10 for a new one on Ebay? I guess it is personal prefereance.. -
WW1 EK has a thinner pin.... a nice WS should fit the loops...

Does it need to be cleaned (ie. old peanut butter or coffeesains) or is it just old and dusty? -

Noone minds, Ed, feel free to post whatever you found here... there is no uniform Apartheid I on occasion have found old movie or theater tickets which I found kinda neat... the best I saw though, if I remember correctly (I think it was on WAF) was an 82nd Airborne, vietnam era one with some Nekkid photos of his then girlfriend.... but then, I am just a perv....

Folks.... watch this space. Within 3 days I hope to post the ultimate holy grail of fighting EKs... either that or a photo of myself crying and cursing... Either one will be worth the wait.... Just to get your anticip-p-p-p-p-pation up and running.....
