    1. Nice stories/history to go with the badges you've shown. Much better than the faceless BSW that was once here
    2. Medalla "Combatiente de la Producci?n y la Defensa" Taz, can you add any details from the decree?
    3. Distinci?n "Enrique Hart" Awarded for 25 yrs service in public administration
    4. Medalla "Eliseo Reyes", II Note that ribbons do not match existing drawings on the ribbon sites. Do not know if this is wrong, or the site. So little reference and information available.
    5. Nice scan of this medal. Note that the ribbon is actually brown, not the red in illustrations on the 2 ribbon references on-line.
    6. Hi Eddie, we know some silver was used, but where/when is still unclear. There's a Liberacion 1.kl. kicking around that is clearly gilded silver.... but only the one example has been noted thus far. If you comb through the threads on Ministry of The Interior LSM's you'll see some that are most definately using an East German mount as opposed to the usual Cuban one. The ribbons seem different as well. Now, having seen these examples we still have no idea. Made in DDR? Assembled in Cuba? So little clear detail/facts thus far.
    7. Hi Taz, it has six (6) seperate pieces and at this point seems to be the most complex of the orders with respects to construction. There may be some silver involved, but the bulk seems to be base metals and gilded, like so many other of the orders. There appears to have been precious little precious metals used in the assembly of any Cuban Order known thus far. Perhaps a decision of expediency, or perhaps one of neccessity. I suspect it will be some time before we have any definitive concepts.
    8. I concur with Stefan.... this is a known face. Searching my files as we speak....
    9. Well, these images should give pause.............. is it an early type? Is it a later type? Based upon finish quality, materials and plating; my vote is for very late production.
    10. If you have access to one of these, please PM me with detailed dimensions of the suspension and star. Is yours a multi-piece star with cog attached? Thanks!
