    1. And in keeping with my starting theme.... here's last night's listing of FAKE documents. The MVD one is very bizarre as the Gramota appears to be an "awarding document" for the MVD Honored Employee Badge sans anyplace to put a serial number in... Say what!????
    2. A) Yes. Yes. B) Yes. No. C) This one I do not know the answer too, but I have no recollection of a W?rttemberg only recipient list. D) Yes. Oh yes, There's also: E) You'll have a lot of competition for the bar you're looking at ;>)
    3. Ha Ha, we've sucked in another Imperial victim...... errrrr I mean a new Imperial collector. The slope is very steep. The slope is very slippery. There is no bottom! Enjoy our ride!
    4. Nice original cross in one of the most heavily reproduced of the cases. Slightly unusual size/shape for this style. My advice, hit the case and the liner, then remove the inserts and hit the paper backing of the case. You'll know if it glows. If it doesn't, chances are it's OK, if it glows, you've been "had". Good Luck, Rick
    5. OH yes, yours is in exceptional condition. You will rarely find it with all thelittle trim pieces intact like yours. very, very, very nice!
    6. Hi Richard, I have seen these with the EK2 & EK1. I believe they were sold independent of the cross itself.
    7. This one is #15. I spotted it on eBay of all places. Frankly, if the fakes look this good, it's almost worth having a fake. Of course the badge was offered only as "original soviet badge". Supposedly, located in Australia.... however he had multiple negative feedbacks that he was really in Belarus.... You can make your own conclusions.
    8. Yeah, I'm in the office but the book is at home. I should buy another while I still can...
    9. Of course he also has 3 lots of loose ribbon for sale as well. I'd love to think he's hanging up his hat, but I'll believe it when I see it.
    10. I can't see a cut on the suspension ring. The ribbon certainly looks old/correct but it's one of the older brass suspensions. The color could be the scan, but the ring at the top doesn't look the one on Igor's site.
    11. Wow, that's pretty nice! Interesting to see the "special" book for the medal as well!
    12. Thought it would be interesting to point out the hundreds of bad MGB, KGB, NKVD, MOOP and MWD ID's and documents circulating on eBay. Here's a really cheesy NKVD document:
    13. Saxony was interesting (isn't it always??!). The First Class Cross always had the wreath. Swords denoted the war-time award of same. Now, the really fantastic ones are pre-1914 in real gold. Drop-dead gorgeous with the Scharffenberg ones being of the utmost quality. Much nicer (IMO) than the Roessner & Glaser pieces.
    14. Hi David, actually, what you have is an Albert Knight 1 w. Swords and an Albert Knight 2, no swords. Fabulous bar!
    15. oooooooo Lippe-Detmold! Very nice bar and despite the fact that it's tough to find mounted; many collector's seem to overlook this small cross.
    16. Hi Prosper. I seem to recall seeing a photo of that bar floating around the net last year. I cannot remember where it was! ??
