C'mon Gordon, don't hold back, tell us how you really feel!! I wouldn't know a good RK unless it was dropped in my lap by someone who does. Assuming from the get-go that I'd be lucky to handle one of these ever, I've only gained the knowledge from forums and guys like you! I wouldn't touch one of these without having someone (like yourself) with years and years of experience looking it over with a microscope!

Hi Gordon, 2 rare and wonderful bars. I have found that the combination of German & "foreign" awards is very appealing to me......... I like your Finn bar very much!

Interesting thing about this bar is other than the first 3 being in the wrong order, it's actually a possibility with the 2 Bulgarian awards..........

Just found this in my archive! How about an 1870 Non-Combattant bar!

Well, that's what I thought, but felt it best to check...... interesting as I have on 3 occassions seen Luftwaffe badges in un-titled blue cases. All 3 had the early-war "pillowed" insert for the badge. Not the flat, flocked late-war style insert.

How do we know this is by Godet? I didn't read it and/or see a picture of a maker mark?? Just curious as to what I am missing??

Well, that's only the second cased 25 Year I've seen. Rather awesome!

Great stuff Bob. I think most collectors never consider how rare the packaging is.... it just opens up the debate. Mint & Boxed, or Battle-worn. I like both!

Sorry Sal, long gone. I bought it from Gordon and was immediately accosted by an aggressive WAF member that threatened to personally call me every 15" if I did not give it to him. It was kinda weird actually. Sadly, the finest example of a spange I every handled and not one since in this condition!

It's not that hard really, I just obsessively view every dealer in the world, constantly try to recruit pickers in Germany and surf every on-line auction house in the world!

Received this in a lot from Germany. I suspect it is Romanian, but have no clue. It also bears a striking similarity to an Austrian style bar with the overlaps. Can you help ID this bar? Thanks!!
