    1. All medal bars tell the story of a man's life up to the point they were made and for me that's good enough. When I see a TR award on the bar of a WW1 vet I say to myself that he answered the call again.
    2. I actually like the Weimar era bars. When I see a guy with an EK2 and 5-6 veterans commemoratives I wonder what was going thru his mind and the minds of those with just their real awards on their chests.
    3. Just examining and discussing Robin. No need to take offense. I'm not convinced either way at the moment. One thing this thread has shown is that their is a wide variety with these. Much like the black skull that started this thread, one has to look at everything. As you know, I've held the two "known originals" posted in this thread. Given that they are constructed differently they are the left and right limits to me. Its what is in between that we should look for. Besides "gut feeling" I think we could establish some characteristics.
    4. Are you saying there must be a specific number of teeth? How many to be a good one?
    5. The problem is that we have seen only a few accepted real ones. Being handmade there will be some variations. Just look at the pics of those being worn in this thread.
