Guys, I got quite excited when a pal told me a friend at work had an above described badge and it was in the family etc, etc, etc. He is a good lad so I will let him down gentley! The box is laughable and even the staple is a picture as opposed to metal. I don't know why they have cut the grass so to speak but it is quite obvious in the hand. Oh well!

John, I will continue to rake through the recently departed folks belongings in the hope of saving some history. Family seem less interested in these sort of things these days. I wonder what the future holds, will people be able to buy your internet logs when you pass? -
The whole lot are impresive. I remain envious of your talent and a little afraid. I am sure there are equally talented criminals out there somewhere. I am glad you are a good guy!

Glad its of interest. The reverse of the Press shot of the parade states General Müller? Looks like he served WW2 judging by the ribbon bar. -
Guys, A few bits and bobs from a former border guard. Not keen on the swimwear, note the cheeky shot of the DDR pair on patrol. This could almost be a WW2 album at first glance, very similar in content!

Bund pics exercise?
Jock Auld replied to Jock Auld's topic in Germany: Post 1945: Bundesrepublik & DDR
No, it is mostly WW2 Feldpost to IR277. -
Guys, Would not normaly pick this up as they are heavy and I have enough of them but this has a nice Decal on the front, it is not a sticker but similar to the WW2 era helmet decals if that makes sense?

Guys, This is amongst a box full of paper from one family, looks to be 3 brothers with war service and the family was split as there is an East German conection too! Still sorting through the paperwork.
