A friend of mine found this item in the Reichswald, Germany. The site of Operation Veritable. But this is not World War Two, it looks older. Could it be Roman? Celtic etc?
Anyone an idea?
Does anyone have pictures of Korean bravery awards for the Korean war to non korean vets?
In my collection:
Korean Chungmu pre 1973 seen in last place of the bar.
Korean Order of Military Merit seen above (neck badge)
This is the same award only the version after 1973.
The veteran wrote to the Korean Embassy in the Netherlands and told that his Chungmu got lost and got the new award for free....
Republic of Korea - Order of Military Merit Chungmu grade (3th classe)version 1973
To replace the Korean war Chungmu military bravery award seen in the bar as last.
The veteran wrote to the Korean ambassy to say his Chungmu was lost to get the neckcross for his group......
Next month some Czech former RAF veterans (all multiple bravery award wearers) will be my guest in the Netherlands. Where can I buy wwII Czech Awards to make a display?

In November, during a so called "veterans'week" Mrs. Folmer from the Netherlands is one of our guests. Mrs. Folmer was in the Dutch resistance and wearer of the Dutch Bronze Lion, the American Medal of Freedom with Gold palm and the British George Medal.
Is there any info to be found in archives about this george medal? How do I start to search? I would like to find out more background info so I can prepare some questions..
