    1. As I am living in Switzerland, one of the mothercountrys of democracy I would come up with a wonderfull Swiss like compromise: I think that most of the issues written before are correct: 1: I think that all pieces shown are genuine 2: I think that there has been a certain amount of converted items 2nd into 1st class, probably for various reasons like lack of money, lack of material, lack of willingness to accomplish a perfect work etc. etc. there are certainly more explanations than this 3: It is a fact that aproaching the brake up of SFRJ the quality was significantly decreasing, thus I would still upstand for the term "last issues" 4: Unfortunatel as also stated the country was run in a differnt way than other comunistic countrys and one of the favorite slogans wath "self-managment of the working class" which mostly resumed in a total chaos and a absolute lack of control. Thus also almost nada documentations and papers with details about production, number of made items etc. Waiting your opinions about my way to look at it. regards Milan
    2. Hello unfortunately I was not fast enough. I was working and on duty, thus a couple of days OFFLINE . Thanks anyway !! regards Milan
    3. Very nice Grand Officer set, and indeed a rare variant, SORLINI from Serbia. Most of the sets have been made by Huguenin in Switzerland. Anyhow, the price is toooooo high. You should be able to find a GO set for max 1200-1400 US$. The seller is OK, I had only positive experience with him. Regards Milan PS: look at more variants on my website www.orden.stojanovic.ch
    4. Hello Sir is this bar for selling ? if yes let me know nestevan@gmx.ch
    5. I would like to share some pics with you. One of the VERY rare YU items. Regards Milan
    6. Hello Waldemar it may be ugly as it is but I would not be very fast with stamping this a "real" fake. It is obvious that it was not made for being atributed that is for sure, but it could (and probably) is a really in IKOM made let's call it probe. I had in my collection more than 10 pieces of different medals and orders made of completely differnt materials with all kind of quality grades and all of them came out directly and proven from IKOM. In the period when former Yugoslavia broke up many stuff from IKOM's cellar and stores came into peoples hands and was distributed by differnt sellers, ebay etc. . I would put this order of National Liberation as "essai" and store it in the "CURIOSITIES" part of my collection, if the price is reasonable. But I assume that the seller is a Astrophysician and asks by far too much for this piece. If not, then take it !!! Best regards Milan
    7. Thanks for the question, doing fine, by far too much business but I won't complain. Ribbons are not too much "my thing" but I have a huge box, I will open it up on monday and take a pic and send it to you via PM so you can see what is laying arround. Spinks auction on Thursday was nice regarding Serbia and Montenegro but once again like in the last two years the prices went off orbital ! Best regards Milan
    8. Ola Miguel, good evening the upper right corner says "Cakanu-Milanu" za uspomenu --- which would say (in free translation) --- to the beautiful Milan in memory - 28. may 1939 Pozarevac (a town in Serbia) from Bata B. Sekulovica I have my own problems with reading the cyrillic hand written text but I think that this could be correct. Regards Milan
    9. One more watch out the way the number "7" is written. There is no line across the vertical line, this is the hardes variant to find !!!
    10. Finally I got the time to look for the pictures and to prepare them for upload. Here is another variant ! Rregards Milan
    11. No, this is not a regimental badge. It is from the association of veterans. Regards Milan
    12. I have some old and damaged pieces that I keep for repository functions, maybe that I can find you the missing eagle. Just give me a couple of days to find the coresponding box. REgards Milan
    13. Hello yes it is a type 2, looks like GAS (Scheid from Vienna) production, too bad that one eagle is missing. In perfect condition you could go for 200-220 EUR, yours would sell probably for a max of 120-130. Look at my website for more pics. Best regards Milan
    14. Hello Miguel I will have to look at the regulations from that period to say how exactly the way was they had to be worn. But as far as I have seen on pictures the rules of precedence have been respected regarding orders, for medals the rules were not that strictly respected so you can see and find many variations of precedence of medals. Regards Milan PS: second answer for Ulsterman the Ljotic Serbian Volunteer Corps as the official correct name was has indeed the force of a regiment (3700 men) so the badge could very well be compared to Russian regimental badges. BTW the inscription around the badge says "with faith in god for the king and the fatherland- volunteers"
    15. Hi the top right badge is from the Ljotic National volonteers guard from WWII Best regards Milan
    16. Hello William correct response, the two main producers of theese medals have been in first place Arthus Bertrand and a little bit later on Huguenin from Switzerland. There are even more variatins than this two, the most RRR is the one where the number "7" in 1917 is missing the small bar across. I will try to make pics and post them. As you already know my time ressources are pretty low. Best regards Milan
    17. Hello I would like to propose to the moderators to split the part of this thread dealing with the danilo order into a new topic ??? Regards Milan
    18. Sorry folks forgott about that, George correct it is Montenegro Regards Milan
