    1. I was only responding to Rick's comment based on information I had recieved from a fellow metalurgist who was in the area five years ago. Nothing more. No allusion to fakes intended.
    2. I guess to further describe them as cheesy would be a perfectly wretched pun that would get me banned from the forum for a number of days.
    3. Claudio, the Weidinger bar is mine and Rick Research did the research and confirmation. You can read it here: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=1231
    4. Sorry, Heiko, the word "crisp" is idomatic English for nice, new, etc. I should have said it the bars looks a little too new and I think you agree but not enough to make a determination on it's authenticity.
    5. Thanks to both David and Jens! I have observed three different types of attachments and that accounts for them all.
    6. Here is the campaign bar. Does it appear to be a little too crisp for the surrounding ribbons? Heiko, are you up?
    7. Another Saxon with the FAM on the non-combatant ribbon. It's a bit weathered but the campaign clasp is not. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? I'll post a close up for comment.
    8. This is an enlargement of the FO3bX on Luftwaffe Generalleutnant William Weidinger's medal bar. Please look at the way the swords are attached to the cross and see if you identify the source of the award. Thanks.
    9. At least it has been so for me. I'm sure some of you gentlemen can broaden my horizons in no time at all. Let's see whatcha got? This is my one and only medal bar.
