    2. Gentlemen, unfortunately i don?t have any good recommendations, but i rather look for some books about the war on the eastern front in general, the soviet army, Bios of soviet officers in english and other printed sources worth reading about this topic. Anyone has a good advice, what i should look for? Thanks in advance Gerd

    4. Hi Rick, yes, indeed it is. You know, i loved my minis, but i never could afford a traceable mini-chain or was patient enough to save up for one and this one is really big fun for me now as its much more personal. Thanks Gerd
    5. Glad, you guys like it. In my opinion this beautiful awards have to be displayed and presented in a decent way. Whenever i look at them, i see the stories and faces behind these orders and medals and that wouldn?t be as much fun as if i had to store them in boxes, i guess. Thanks for the compliments
    6. VERY interesting Researching these awards is a great way to learn about the soviet habits and regulations.
    7. Ed, as far as i know, the Schlesian Eagle was awarded to Members of the Borderguard of the 6th Army Corps. 2nd class for 3 months good conduct in the borderguards for Schlesia. 1st class for 6 months good conduct in the borderguards for Schlesia. The badge had to be purchased by the awardees themself. Versions with swords or swords/oaks were unofficial. Gerd
