    1. I've wondered about these-I bought a couple of blanks from an antique dealer back in 1974. What were they-replacements?
    2. a magazine actually. his regiment had an extensive veterans magazne run from 1931-1944. Lots of info. on members.

    7. Ah-thank you! Now, what did he do to get that medal do you suppose? the picture i have dates from @ late 1938... as it's part of a series of the rgts' officers and some are wearing the Anschluss medal.

    10. Well, they are a bit of a narrow field, but Chris is right-any forum with over a score of regularly contributing ladies can't be bad. I would very much like to see a couple more subfora-like "South Africa, India, Australia, N.Z., Canada, America, Rumania , etc. but it's always an interesting read. That topic thread about Grandpas' trunk was brilliant.
