It is very well organized , the structure of work is great , many colored pictures , written in both English and Turkish Languages . Many details , many perfect information … Honestly I loved it ! Hereby i would like to thank again Mr. Demir Erman for his contributions to Turkish Phaleristic collectors and collections .

Hello Dear Clasiupripisi , That is a very beautiful Medjidie Breast Star but unfortunately it is not related with the 1877 - 78 Russian Turkish War . ( As far as i know , in Romanian Historiography it is Independence War ) . You need an older type ( But newer then the Crimean Type … : ) Medjidie Order . Because this Medjidie Star Type ( I tried to explain them very clearly in my book .. ) is one of the last type of Medjidie Orders which are made between the end of 19th century and the beginnings of the 20th century untill the end of the Empire which are also made in Turkish Mint . ( Darphane-i Amire ) A small tip ; they are the types of Medjidie orders that came with the paperboard boxes .. not velvet … And also their mint marks on reverse is slightly different then the former Medjidie examples .. Hope it helps .. Avsar IBAR

Konteradmiral Carl Franz - Ottoman Awards

I worked with the pictures , photo shoots and scans of the Osmanies and Medjidies a lot when i was publishing my book and from my experiences my eyes told me that the proportions of the Osmanie Breast Star in the pictures seems to be a Grand Cross Breast Star... But again i would like to mention here that we can not say definitely without measuring the diameter of the Breast Star unless it is a Diamond one ... ( All Diamond Medjidies and Osmanies are Grand Crosses no matter their sizes .. ) Avsar Ibar -

Just a correction on the photo ; (1) marked Breast Star is an Osmanie as mentioned . But (1) marked Osmanie Badge is Not an Osmanie Badge , it is an Medjidie Badge . Btw , can not guarantee without measuring but i think that set is a Grand Cross set of Osmanie .. (2) marked Breast Star is Medjidie , it is right but (2) marked badge is the Osmanie's badge , not Medjidie ... So there was criss-cross mistake ... : ) Avsar -
It is as exactly "922F" mentioned... A fine example of an Osmanie Commander Cross...

Hello , Osmanie Order's Breast Stars are NOT same for 1st and 2nd classes .. The 1st Class Osmanie Breast Star is bigger in size then a 2nd class star . The Osmanie Orders you can see on the above picture is a set of 2nd Class Osmanie Order . Thank You . Avsar IBAR -
