    1. Those are two sole orders of Serbian Orthodox Church in my collection. The one in blue case is Order of Saint Sava III class, and the one in red is Order of Saint king Milutin of Serbia ( the sole class order). Order of Saint Sava was instituted in 1985 and was divided in to three classes ( the easiest way to recognize classes is by color: I-white; II-red; III-blue). It was the only order of Serbian Orthodox Church until 2009, when the others (6) were created. In later years some new were found as well on the local level (on the episcopal level). Those initial six are covering different fields (Church-state cooperations, self sacrifice, humanitarian work, achievements in culture, etc). The Order of Saint King Milutin of Serbia is established for church founders (ktitor), and those who helped in rebuilding churches and monasteries. Those two orders were given to the same person in 2010s and were followed by gramatas (documents signed by the Patriarch)
    2. This order is in my collection almost two decades, and I have found it in France. I have checked all Russian Orthodox Church orders and medals and somehow I couldn’t find it. Knowing russian language a bit, I can be quite sure that this is Russian language (not Ukrainian or Belorussian). Can anyone help me and explain me the nature of this order? Many thanks in advance.
    3. it should be lower ranking diplomatic/consular uniform. The grades of those orders indicate the lowest rank of the holder.
    4. Nice!! I have never seen this type before!
    5. just to add that former monitor Bodrog from the first picture still exists and there is a plan to be completely reconstruct at the very place from which he fired first shots in the First War World at Belgrade, Serbia.
    6. is there any possibility to know the serial number on that specific piece?
    7. It’s a bit strange as we have never seen this medal on any of king Alexander Obrenovic numerous portraits. This specific one must have been attributed to (at least ) members of royal house.
    8. they look brand new, unworn . Paja is quite right, as those epaulets should be attributed to the reign of King Milan instead to the reign of his son Alexander Obrenovic.
    9. Any chance to get explanation, why did ZIN actually manufactured type 1.1 (with wider screw nut) with such high serial numbers in the range 70k+? It will apply that they have started both from the beginning and as well as from 70k? I have one of those 1.1 but with such high SN...
    10. Great collection indeed. I am just puzzled why did they put dots after roman numbers?
    11. Dear Paja, I am quite positive that you can contribute a lot with your knowledge and wisdom!
    12. Wonderful story. Many thanks for sharing it with us. Just to add that the same regulations applied to Serbian army, as the canon crew in the case of abandoning their canon could face military court. Just one more detail. I cannot with certainty read years on the Karageorge GS. 1914-191?
    13. I think that we should start a new topic: Serbian bravery medals through history
    14. I was offered with that specific one, and I had to decline it, as it was obviously fake. I was told that was a cheaper version for those students who couldn't afford silver version... But, as it was a year ago, back than, it was different seller from Croatia...
    15. Just observe the difference between two classes...
