(22.3.15) still on FestLTr 29. Another document from Mar 1917 gives him as Leader of Luftschifftrupp 5 still aas an Olt.d.R. Regards Alex
    12. Thank you guys. I have him as an Olt.d.R.. Did he been promoted to Hptm.d.R. during WW1 or after the war when he retired? He is an Olt.d.R. on Mar. 1917 and at that time leader of Luftschifftrupp Nr. 5 at Duesseldorf. Regards Alex
    13. Thank Paul. I further have his date of birth and i remember that i have a unit he served prewar. I will post it if i find. Birthdate: 05.07.1881 Regards Alex
    14. Hi Gents, i need your help to find more information about this Hauptmann. Here the infos i habe: 01.08.1902 Unteroffizier 28.04.1904 Vizewachtmeister 11.09.1907 Leutnant d. Res. awards: 03.03.1914 Landwehr Dienstauszeichnung 2. Kl. 14.12.1914 Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse 26.03.1915 Hessen: Allgemeines Ehrenzeichen für Tapferkeit He survived WW1 and myabe he was reactivated in WW2. Regards Alex
    15. Thank you Gunnar and Andy. Let give Abt a face.
    16. Fine, fine, fine. Not longer in my collection, but nice to show. Regards Alex
    17. It is not ussual to get the SVO former to the SHO. I know a lot of groups of officers who got the SVO after the SHO. I don't think that many officers got the SVO former to the SHO, many of the SHO holder neve got the SVO. If a officer still have the SAO and the SHO he could only get the SVO. Regards Alex
    18. Like i know there is no order of precedence awarding the SHO. Only a few Saxon officer who have the SHO got the SVO. But most of them had the SAO before got SHO. The same for the SH medal. Regards Alex
    19. Hi Claudius, i just wonder why his assigment was given as Kampfgeschwader 2 O.H.L. because at this time the unit was reorganized to Bombengeschwader 2 O.H.L.(BOGOHL) Kasta 11 was renamed to Bosta 11 and still was attached to BOGOHL 2. The KAGOHL 2 had only a few G-planes. After the reorganisation of the KAGOHLs, 24 Schutzstaffel (Schusta) were formed by Kastas. So most of over 275 C-planes of many Kastas gone to the new formed Schustas and the new BOGOHLs got 1918 Fdh. G.III -IV, Go. G.III-VI or AEG G.II-IV. The Go.IV and Go.V were used primarliy by BOGOHL 3, Fdh. G.III and G.IIIa were used by BOGOHL 1, 2, 5, 6, 7 and 8. BOGOHL 4 used the AEG.G.IV tactical bomber. So maybe your pilot fly a Fdh. G.III 1918 or one of the C-plane still used be Bostas. Regards Alex
    20. I can't belive that a producer like JUNCKER didn't have the Luftschiffer badge in his sortiment. But i didn't seen one that came from a secure source. No one group with a JUNCKER badge. So i don't know how it looks. I only prefer Meybauer or Godet badges. Regards Alex
    21. 2. Knight cross of Militär- Karl-Friedrich-Verdienstorden. Silver gilded. 288 awards in WW1 and about 200 in silver gilded. Regards Alex
    22. Here my contribution. 1. Erinnerungsabzeichen für Heeresluftschiffer awarded to Steuermann H. Degel (Z XII). Don't know how many was awarded but less than 1000. Regards Alex
