    3. The difference to a Typ 3 Var 5 seem to be in the torch and the middle where the hammer and sickle are. regards Andreas
    4. I am not totally sure, but I didn?t like it. It seems to be, that the deatails are blurred and not crisp. regards Andreas

    13. Hello, this valour medal s/n: 3.439.972 with document came in today. It?s a nice little group. Awarded on 02.10.1951. Will be one of my next research projects. regards Andreas
    14. I look a second time at the medal and, it could be a original one. Comapare the P in the word CCCP with a P in the later versions of the medals and with the earlier one. The P looks okay for a hand engraved medal. Maybe the ring broke off and was replaced later. regards Andreas
    15. To my mind a fake, look at the ring of the medal and the engraving style looks horroble. regards Andreas
    16. Hello, medals on post number 1 and 5 are identical. I think the medal is okay. regards Andreas
    17. Here is a better scan of the medal. It is not really an U-shaped medal. If you look at a certain point of angle it looks so. In my oppinion the medal is okay. regards Andreas
    18. Paul, thats the title of the 31th tank coprs. great medal Would be very nice to reunion the group regards Andreas
    19. Hello, in the most cases I saw a round ring with 30th anniversary of soviet army and navy medals. Is a U-shaped ring at the 30th anniversary medal a rare variant or a fake? In the last days I saw two of them. regards and thanks Andreas
    20. Christian, try this side. There are all versions of the badges shown. http://www.znakisssr.h15.ru/ Here is a copy of a sniper badge. I never saw a real one with these upright lines. A good indicator is the fixing of the screwpost. If it looks like a screw, it?s a fake. The first fakes of these badges appeared in 1991 or 1992. regards Andreas
    21. There are many different variants of these bages. The pictures are not very clear. Expecially you can?t see the screwpost. But I think both (sniper and submariner) are fakes. The screwpost tip looks very sharp and unused. I will post pictures of fakes later. regards Andras
    22. Serial number 123.735 was awarded 05.08.1944 to a member of the 69 Army. So my guess, to your number. (see Paul J. Schmitt Echoes of War page 139) regards Andreas
    23. Just a guess: August 1944 69 Army ??? regards Andreas
    24. Yes, or they gave the german towns new polish names. I could find any of these towns (Kimverden, Altdamm, Oberhof) on a new map from Poland. http://mapa.szukacz.pl/?z_city_id=24&form_t=1 regards Andreas
