Christophe, I think the estimated value 1945 is the value of the material / producing costs. regards Andreas -

Soviet Honored NKVD Badge......
Alfred replied to Stogieman's topic in Russia: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
Here is one of these widely spread fakes of NKVD badges, or at least/at best the backplate is a fake. The backplate is made of some weird metal. It?s not silver. regards Andreas -
Soviet Authentic Orders?
Alfred replied to Stogieman's topic in Russia: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
Christoph, which medal do you mean? The left picture I posted is a fake and the right one is an original, to compare the differences. One sign of a fake is, that you can?t see the rays under the enamel. Another sign is no wearig traces inside the ring. Or do you mean both pictures from me show fakes? regards Andreas -
Soviet Authentic Orders?
Alfred replied to Stogieman's topic in Russia: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
Rick, if possible you should get better pictures. There is nothing obviously wrong, but good fakes exist. Here is apicture of a 20 years RKKA medal with the difference between an original and an fake. regards Andreas -
Soviet A badge ID?
Alfred replied to Stogieman's topic in Russia: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
For excellent artillery training Here is the twin brother for the badge above. As the badge for excellent artillery shooting is very rare, I think the badge for excellent artillery training is much rarer. regards Andreas -

Soviet A badge ID?
Alfred replied to Stogieman's topic in Russia: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
For excellent artillery shooting There are two different variantions of these badge. 1. The first one from the 30?s has a plain reverse with serial number. 2. The second one from the 50?s has a pattern tissue reserve an no serial number. Both variations are faked. My highest obeserved serial number for type 1 is 5.390 (original). -
Soviet Order book
Alfred replied to Hauptmann's topic in Russia: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
Sorry Dan, in my mind Rick is totally right. At least the dates and serial number of the Red Banner of Labor (October 10, 1979) and the October Revolution (January 30, 1980) doesn?t fit together. regrads Andreas -

Senior Sargent Zagorodsky could belong to the 1st Ukraine front under the comman of Konjev. The city of Sandomir (Sandomierz, Poland), and the city of Dembitsa (Dembica, Poland) are lying in the south of Poland 100 km east from Krakau near the river Visla (german Weichsel) -blue arrows-. The Sandomir bridgehead operation seems to be a larger operation from 28. July to 29. August to crosas the river Visla. To my serial number data base, his Valour medal in the serial number range 1.7xx.xxx could be awarded at that time. His order of Glory is from April 1945, when Konjev starts his Berlin operation. My next project: Research the group
