    1. Do you think Matrose Reinhardt is the same person as Josef Reinhardt, Musketier in Res.Inf.Rgt.255 who is listed as awarded the liberty medal 1st class in Mannerheims order no 68? Is Reinhardt a usual name in Germany?
    2. Its belgian, see the post in northern europe section.
    3. If you Google the motto on the badge you get alot of results showing badges and helmets from Belgium. So my guess is: yes its a Belgian badge.
    4. Hello. Picture is from Göteborgs Stadsmuseum. 498 pieces awarded and 520 manufactured If anyone know of one for sale I need one for my collection.
    5. Hello. That badge is a normal hat badge for finnish enlisted men and have nothing to do with the medal. I would guess this medal have been awarded to a Swede because of the mounting (and its for sale in Sweden).
    6. 1st class proficiency badge m/21 of the finnish civil guard. Skyddskåren in swedish and suojeluskunta in finnish.
    7. Hello. Both Badges are from lotta svärd. The blue is for 10 years membership. The other is an award for walking and skiing just like the seller say. These exists in bronze, silver and gold. See this page for more photos and information. http://www.lottasvard.fi/lotta-svard-merkit/
    8. Thank you for your reply. It was worth to ask before I gave up on the research. Perhaps someday the award lists of the Finnish orders and medals become available.
    9. Hello! Do you think it would be possible to ID the recipients of this mini-chain? The order of the White Rose of Finland must be a little unusual on german medalbars? Thanks in advance!
    10. Hello! Can anyone ID the signature on this document to Matrose Reinhardt? It looks either like Whulf or possibly Willy? Is there any way to find out more about Reinhardt? Best regards!
    11. Hello! I believe the person is Roswell Garst, the owner of the corn farm. See more at wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roswell_Garst
    12. Damn your fast! Thank you, I have googled several times without any luck and 1 hour after I posted it here I get the answer! It seems that the association still exists, I´ll try and contact them to see if they have any information about these medals. Thank you again!
    13. Hello! Does anyone recognize this medal? GGSD and the date 29-11-37 and a ship. The reverse is blank. I know that 1937 is after the Imperial era of Germany but it´s mounted after two other german minis, that´s why I put it here. But if anyone has an idea of a better category, let me know. The medals on the bar is the following: Swedish knight of the order of Wasa Swedish commemorative medal of the Swedish Brigade who fought in Finland 1918 Polonia Restituta 1918 Deutsches Rotes Kreuz Für Vaterland 1914 GGSD-medal I guess it doesn´t exists any rolls for either Polonia Restitua or the red cross medal, right? There is a tiny possibility I can ID the recipient using the roll for the Wasa order and Swedish rank lists. Since there is no order of the sword he was probably not a regular military person. I also have copies of alot of documents from the archive from the Swedish Brigade that contains alot of names of members. With some luck there is some name there that also appears on the Wasa-roll and can point me in the right direction. And here is the full mini-bar.
    14. I´ve got another one! Now I have four Lappi and four Kenttäarmeija in their original bags.
    15. I like them when they come in their original paper bag with the recipients name on...
    16. I can´t seem to upload any more pictures for some reason so I´ll try again later/tomorrow to show some more pieces.
    17. In my first post in this thread I showed my favourite imperial German piece and also my all time favourite piece which is this finnish cross. And since Destruction wanted to see the backside I made this post instead of making a new thread in the appropriate forum section. I´m lazy…
    18. Here are some more medals from my collection. Bronze - Silver - Gold The gold one is a gilt bronze medal. The original ones in gold were only awarded 7 times to royalties and heads of states.
    19. Hello! Here are both my crosses of Ingria, I still need the one for enlisted men. If anyone should have one for sale, please let me know! The merit cross is awarded 2 times and the cross for officers around 20 times. I don´t know how many that were awarded the enlisted mens cross.
    20. Hello and welcome to the forum! I suppose you have seen the list of all the different clasps in the other thread so I wont repeat it here. All the clasps are quite easy to find, atleast in Finland and to some extent also in Sweden. But the hardest one to find (in my opinion) is the Mantsinsaari clasp. Also the usual iron and bronze medals for foreigners are pretty easy to find. The iron one was awarded approximately 10 000 times and the bronze one 1961 times. The difficult thing is to find the foreigner medal documents, especially the special document for fallen soldiers. They are really rare. Tomorrow I can take some photos of the winter war medals that I have bought since the last photo. Among them is a prototype medal and some more medals for foreigners.
    21. He received the grand cross of the Swedish North Star on 28th April 1955
    22. Hello Micke. I was one of the bidders but unfortunately not the buyer of that set.
    23. All I can find in my books are the statues of 1902 and they don´t mention foreign recipients criteria at all. Only that Commander 2nd class and knight 2nd class was only awarded to foreigners until 1889, after that they can be awarded to swedes too. Swedes could be awarded the order of the sword for things like long service, bravery in the field or service to the country. I am working on transcribing the award rolls for the Swedish orders from 1748 to 1974 and are almost done with commander 2nd class. My biggest issue is lack of time...
