    1. Hi Hardy Thanks for that! I am not sure, but the chances are it is the same person indeed regards David
    2. Hi Glenn Thanks for that! Is there anyway to find out if and what his career looked like after 1822 and before his death in 1837? Or for that matter when he changed from LIR8 to IR 18 (or are these the same regiment)? regards David
    3. Hi Sascha! So your saying Georg received a BZL3aX 10.01.1918 not his brother Louis? What is his rank/function at his entry? regards David
    4. Hi Rick So I hear you are working your way down the BZL! I have at least on entry in my genealogical research any people with my last name (and the noble tribe) Louis III. Alfred Carl Oscar M?ldner von M?lnheim, the PA of the prussian CP got his BZL3bXE 10.01.1918 according to earlier findings. Could you confirm that already from the rolls you have? And would it be also possible to tell me if his elder brother Georg Emil Theodor M?ldner von M?lnheim got anything Baden next to his ordinary PZM, HHO3X, and EK1 and 2? I mean being a Batailloncommander and ending his career as a Oberstlieutenant, I am kinda hoping for something more for him and he did not show up in any of the rolls transcribed yet...... thanks David
    5. Hi Naxos Is that your list or the list in the book I mentioned? regards David
    6. Oh sure, I thought the list would have been in alphabetical order, I am sorry . Lauterborn was born around 1780-1800 and served in the prussian army since about 1817-1819 wih the rank of Hauptmann/Capitain, coming from the kurhessian army. I think he was transferred to the regiments 25 somewhere in the 1820's thanks again
    7. Hi I have this one in the retry :-) Would anyone have a copy of the following volume: Zimmer-Vorhaus, O.: "1813/1913 : Offizier-Stammliste des Infanterie-Regiments von L?tzow (1. rheinisches) Nr 25 und seines Stammes, des kgl. Pr. von Lutzowschen Freikorps" (Berlin, 1913) I would be most interested in the entry of Joseph Lauterborn thanks in advance regards David

    9. That is quick work and great info! Maybe any additional will turn up ( maybe in Werner N's data )
    10. HI kurhessian Landrath Cornelius went into prussian service after 1866 becoming a Geheimer Regierungsrath on retirement in 1883 having served as Landrath of Fulda for nearly 20 years. Would it be possible for anyone to see if this guy received anything non-kurhessian (I am guessing as a Landrath he received a PKO/PROA3rd Class maybe a Seconde Class at retirement as Geheimer Regierungsrath?) I hope you can tell me more regards David
    11. Hi I received some bio's for my own research of kurhessian officers of the Artillerie-Regiment. This became FAR11 after 1866 and there are some bio's on prussian commanders amongst them. Should you require one of the bio's let me know (PM is best I guess) regards David Generallieutenant Karl von Hausmann Generalmajor Christoph Viktor August von Kleist Generalmajor Christian August von Seel Generallieutenan Hans Hermann von Oppeln-Bronikowski Oberst Hermann Karl August von Werder Oberst Hermann Friedrich Weltz Oberst Friedrich Wilhelm Ludwig Kaulbach Generallieutenant Otto Karl Theodor von H?peden Oberst Daniel Ludwig Wilhelm von Nippold Generalmajor Heinrich Wilhelm Braum?ller Generalmajor Karl Hederich Oberst Hermann Hans M?ller Generalmajor Johannes Bruno Mittelstaedt Generalmajor Bruno Ferdinand Wilhelm Karl Hahn Oberst Karl Freiherr von Preuschen
    12. Hi One of my kurhessian guys received the GSF2. I am just curious if it should mention GSF2b/a in his biographical entry or just GSF2. In other words: did the GSF know a grade Commander with star which would result in a possible 2a for my guy or is there only a GSF2 with a neckbadge and then GSF1. Hope you can help me out here regards David
    13. Hi I know it is a long shot and to my knowledge neither are available fulltext via googlebooks, but I was wondering if anyone had access to one of the underneath mentioned books: Lange, E.: R?ckblicke auf die Stammgeschichte des 20 Landwehr-Regiments (Berlin, 1858) Brecht, C.: Geschichte des 3. brandenburgischen Landwehr-Regiment Nr 20 (Berlin 1866) regards David
    14. Hi For a small part explaining the mE, mSchl and awB kind of things for prussian decorations, I am looking for a reference book. I know I can find the details I need here, but I just want a book to refer to for the readers of my own publication on the CHWO. any help appreciated thanks regards David
    15. Understandably. if I had such jewels, I would put them in a bank safe as well :-) regards David
    16. Just a weird question: I guess you did just the wartime decorations, not the awards pre-1914? regards David
    17. Hi Eitze you must have acquired quite a collection of Waldeck ribbon and medalbars. I am sure not only I would be interested in a 1 photo overview (which would have to look really spectacular!!) regards David
    18. They were something like Edle Herren von Kranichfeld thats why the bird (dunno the name in english) is in the wappen.
    19. Hi Matthias Thanks for that, would you happen to research there yourself a lot? regards David
    20. Hi I found here http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olga-Orden that this order was mainly awarded to nurses. I have in my data the WOO awarded to a man My questions regarding this order: 1. How rare were decorations to men (is there a full list or maybe a records of the number to men somewhere) 2. Is it possible to trace a date of award (basically requiring the same as ad 1.) 3. What was Dietzsch final record (basically enquiring as to any prussian awards such as a PROA4 as he was a Professor) on ODM in the 1874 or 1875 Prussian Staatshanbuch My data: Gustav Adolf Dietzsch (geboren 31.01.1808, gestorben 09.09.1875); Stiftsprediger und Di?cesan-Vorstand zu Oehringen ; 1870 Professor der systematischen Theologie an der Universit?t in Berlin. 1871 WOO; 1871 D70/71; SEK3 Hof und Staatshandbuch des K?nigreich W?rttemberg 1873 S. 137 und 595. thanks and regards David
    21. Hi Bob That could very well be: I found this : http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustav_von_Rauch not my von Rauch, though most likely related regards David
