    1. Hi I am looking fo the details possibly mentioned by Bernd Philipp Schr?der in his book on Generals from the Mittel- und Kleinstaaten: From Sachsen-Meiningen Buch von Spesshardt thanks in advance David M?ldner
    2. Does the back of the photo give a year? Because I am guessing this to be one of the bishops of M?nchen and Freising David M
    3. About the photo...are you sure its his wife...I mean bavaria is about 99.9% catholic and even during WWI there no exceptions on the celibate
    4. Hi Chris well glad to have helped you out there btw, I feel much sympathy for your renovation....I just moved (only 2 blocks) myself!! Take care David
    5. Could anyone tell me if in his book, Klenau makes separate lists per king and grandmaster of the roder or does he just make 1 big list of 1st classes for the entire periode 1810-1854? Thanks oncemore!! David
    6. Hi Chris! Always interested in any mentioning of the M?ldner and M?ldner von M?lnheim family!! Thanks so much David
    7. Dear Gents Although I am familiar with the book by Graf Klenau, I have 2 questions: 1. I know from a source that Heinrich Thomas (von) Karcher received a RAO3 between 1810 and 1830. Are there any source to verify the exact date? 2. Just to rule him out from the Klenau book (which I do not possess as yet), could someone look up if he received a RAO2 as well? Thanks so much David
    8. One would not realize there is so much to publish on dutch orders and decorations!! What will his new 3 books be about?
    9. HI Erik Wow that is to bad, would love to see books like that published!! Maybe tthe Koninklijk Huisarchief itself would think of publishing it (since I guess there is were the data came from! Greetz David
    10. If you are interested in the other awards of Schulz, why not ask the Landesarchiv at Schwerin? They helped me out (for free) often enough, Schulz should be in the Staatshandbuch of Strelitz (did I write Schwerin , yes I did, as it is the Landesarchiv for Mecklenburg, I hink they have Strelitz Staatshandb?cher aswell!! Regards David
    11. Hi Glenn I am curious: when the Knightscross of the Wilhelms Order is described as CHW4 in your book, is a 4th Class of this Order then mentioned as a CHW5? My guess: CHW1 Grandcross CHW2a CCI CHW2b CCII CHW3 Knight CHW4 4th Class Or am I wrong? Regards David
    12. Hi Yankee Does his diarie state where he got the Wilhelms Order for? I cannot remember if the regiment he was in at the time (1850-1951) would have been part of the socalled Strafbayern who were involved in helping out the Kurf?rst von Hessen during the Verfassungskrise, but I guess that would be an option! Regards David
    13. Hi Yankee That is a beauty!! I am curious: what is your connection with Michael Schuch? Are you related to him in any way?
    14. Do you mean you actually have the medal of the Wilhelm Knight?!! I would love to see a picture!!! Thanks in advance David
    15. Hi Yankee! As he entered bavarian service 1829 and died 1870, I would assume the medal is bavarian to ;-). Do you mean finding all the medals of Schuch (including his ChW3? That could be a quest!! Good luck and hope to hear from you should you get a photo from bavaria Regards David
    16. I am looking for data on the German Gesandtschaft at Kiew during the second half of 1918. Also looking for data on the German Milit?rkomission in Kiew, in 1918. Any information, especially an overview of the militairy officers present would be very much appreciated!! The brother of Louis M?ldner von M?lnheim, Georg, was Bevollm?chtigter of the Kriegsministerium there and before that a member of the Milit?rkommission in Kiew from 17.05.1918 onwards
    17. As it says Hofjuwelier and Gera, I suppose there should be something Reussian in there, but that's obvious or am I wrong?
    18. HI Yankee I would be interested in a picture of the Oberst too! My guess is contacting the bavarian states archive, since that was the country he served in the militairy. Here is the better part: in bavaria, the law says that when the archive looks something up for you, its for free. So you could ask them if there is a picture of the Oberst, you would only need to pay for the reproduction itself. Should you contact the Archive, I hope you woill let me know what you find out!! I would be very interested in a photo especially one taken where he is wearing his ChW3!! Regards David
    19. Hi Glenn, does your source state in which year he received the CHW3? Regards David
    20. write me down for one of each! Any idea of the costs per issue? David
    21. Where could we find a list of the recipients of the Dutch Crown Order? Would it be at the Huisarchief? or at the Kanselarij der Nederlandse Orden? David
    22. Dear Gents! Would there be a way to find out the orders and decorations of: 4f. Friedrich von Marschall, geboren Spangenberg 26.12.1878, 1915 Oberleutnant der Landwehr J?ger I, kgl. preuss. Hauptmann a.D., verstorben Marburg 16.12.1949, my interest is purely genealogical, his mother was a born M?ldner von M?lnheim I would also like to know the exact information about his promotion in 1915 (date e.g.) Thanks so much! David
    23. I did not know the Order of the Dutch Lion was instituted for the southern part of the Koninkrijk only? Why did it not become a belgian order with a namechange lateron? David
    24. Thanks Glenn thats great!! I hope to get a picture of his grandfather Johann Michael Ritter von Deines. This was a kurhessian Finanzrat, a commander 1st class of the CHGL. JMD got the austrian nobility in 1847, so technically Adolf held 2 nations nobility by the end of his life
