Gentlemen, can anyone give me any information on WWI veteran Karl Kapp (exact birth/death date, which university, Einjährig-Freiwilliger?, last rank, decorations), who was severly wounded 1916, entered the consular service, was stationed in Constantinople, Budapest and Damascus during the rest of the war (Turkish decorations?) and was later diplomat, among other places in Jerusalem, Bombay, Cleveland, Sofia. Thanks so much! I always wondered why he received so many decorations in WWI, now I know he was adjutant of the (Bavarian) 6th Army, later leader/commander of the Jäger-Regiment Nr. 5. He was also named for extraordinary bravery and gallantry on the plaques of honor (Ehrentafel XXXXIV) in the Hall of Fame of the Berlin Arsenal (Ruhmeshalle des Zeughauses).
