    1. That's an old photo.....Can't find the actual star right now but I have enlarged the scan. got them! Top one is 5.75cm across and 5.5cm high
    2. Hasn't anybody got any views on this one?
    3. with the flash
    4. Natural light is fading here. I will try again with the flash
    5. Head on view. Bent arm is the one on the left.
    6. ........but the enamel has not cracked. I have a few other Stars where the enamel has cracked although the arms are not bent so I assume that the enamel is very fragile. In this case, the enamel was souple or elastic enough to cope with the excessive bending.
    7. Another strange thing is that one arm is badly bent....
    8. another view
    9. Someone has expressed some doubts about the origin and age of this star so I would like some opinions. It seems that it is a one-piece construction, i.e. the crescent is part of the body of the star and not "added".
    10. IF, and I stress IF, that list of recipients on Wikipedia is correct, it is quite amazing......
    11. I also have this one but I guess he is Merchant Navy?

    15. Brilliant, very helpful, thank you and happy Feast (and do not apologise for your English, it is 101% better than my Turkish!)
    16. Indeed it is. How can you tell Avsar?
    17. Wow, nice piece of history. This is the same manufacturer I believe?
    18. This one posted to a Sergent Major, 63rd 8th Comp.
    19. Not really "my thing" but they caught my eye and I had to buy them...
