    4. thanks buellmeister, what period are we talking about? post 1918? if so i don't mind removing the oaks from my EK11 and looking for something more appropriate regards
    5. Hi Buellmeister interesting photo, yours is in better condition then mine!!, I can assume that it has nothing to do with the EK11, What sort of decoration would it have been attached to? regards
    6. hi kevin attached as requested all the best regards
    7. Hi attached is my EK11 1870, made by Wagner. Attached to it are these strange 25th anniversary oakleaves. These are completely different from the normal ones. Does anyone know if these are a different type or a totally spurious attachment? the oakleaves do appear to contemporary and made by a manufacturer who made medals of the period. purely for display purposes, they are attached to a newer piece of ribbon, the original is however shown. any help appreciated thanks Alex
    8. BTW sorry for spelling your name wrong Hunyadi! regards
    9. Thanks for the info, particularly on the stampings and maker regards Alex
    10. Hi Hunyady, the medal and ribbon came together when I bought the piece in 1987 ?14 UKP regards I assume they belonged together
    11. Hi guys thanks for the quick respnses, I must admit that I believed it to be a copy due to the zinc (Non silver) manufacture, I have not seen a silver version of this so far. I will keep an eye open. It is pleasant to note that there is so much knowledge out there that can help the unwary/new guy who sees something they like and buys it on the spur of the moment, hoping its a regular piece thanks regards alex
    12. kevin just for clarification, should I be looking for this ribbon but with the KD swords attached thanks
    13. asking the experts again, what this is, I think my copy is a cheap fake, the edges have file marks, even though I suspect the ribbon might be contemporary thanks
    14. Any experts identify what the stamps mean on my Signum Laudis?
    15. hi sorry for sticking my nose in this thread, but would this be the wartime ribbon for the Signum Laudis? regards
    16. Hi all, I have in my collection the following MVK with KD. It all came like this. I have however noticed the MVK with a different ribbon, is this the correct ribbon for this award with the KD attachment. The case does say KD although the lettering is quite faded. any help appreciated regards Alex
    17. Hi, attached is an example of a rarther odd KWK11, compared with a known original. This was posted by me a while back on the AHF forum, the consensus is that its a fake. My question is if it is a fake, did the fakers really screw up? . I would have thought that if they were going to fake the piece they could at least get it to resemble an actual award. It's not a casting but die struck and is completely flat. A second one subsequently turned up from a forum member in Canada, together with the same piece of (Incorrect) ribbon. sorry about the scan, but the real one doesn't actually look like that colour any comments Regards
