    1. Guys, because I still need on of these for my Kriegs badge collection, it's going to be on the top of my list at this year's MAX Show. Because all of my other badges are Schwerin marked, I'd like to try and stay with that maker. Are there any particular points I should be aware of when looking for an original badge? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    2. Thanks Bob, I've found this forum very friendly.
    3. Helmet and Chinstrap marks,
    4. Since I only have one, I guess it's my "bestest".
    5. Guys. for my education. based on the catch, does the case for the PO badge look okay to everyone?
    6. If you get tired of it, it can always come live with me. A very nice acquisition!
    7. A little better view of the hinge and catch.
    8. Here's mine, but I don't have any idea who the maker was. Any Ideas?
    9. Jos, any chance we couls see a shot of the reverse? Looks like a really excellent example of a though badge to find.
    10. Ebay is only as good as the buyer is knowledgable. As someone who studied prior to reaching for his wallet, you've done exceptionally well. Those who bid and ask questions later, haven't.
    11. His brother looks pretty good on the other end of the shelf.
    12. Excellent thread, have to admit the Luft. badges are my favorite. Thanks for showing!
    13. Very nice Rich!
    14. The whole statue is about 11 inches tall with the marble base being right at 4 inches. Bill, hopefuly it's going to look good on my shelf as well.
    15. Well, something interesting came my way. No presentation or maker's marks, but interesting.
    16. Thanks Rick, I really don't have any concerns about originallity, just whether or not the awards that came with the doccument could actually part of a group. With the doccument was a German Gross in Gold, a 25 Bronze Panzer Badge, silver would badge, and Russian Campaign award. Unfortunately, no other doccuments. It does appear that the D.R. is not for doctor, and the Russian front medal would make sense. So far so good. I guess the real question now is whether or not he qualified for the bronze panzer badge. Your assistance is greatly apperciated.
    17. Guys, several years ago I picked up what was supposed to be a grouping belonging to one soldier. Unfortunately, with no way to actually confirm that all of the awards actually belonged to the guy, I've somewhat treated them as separate items. Hopefully, with a little help, maybe I can at least confirm whether or not the guy would have qualified for the decorations that came with the group. First, would the D.R. after the oberleutnant indicate this guy was a doctor? Being in panzer artillery, would he have qualified for a numbered panzer badge in bronze? Answers to this should help me decide whether or not this is a real grouping or not. Thanks!
    18. Thanks Bob! A couple of years ago I took it to the SOS so I know several members have seen it first hand. It's really an exceptional example.
    19. Marshall, thanks for posting another "right side up" version. Until you posted yours I didn't have another one to compare to. From your photos I agree that it's two different marks.
    20. I don't know if Willi spent a little too much time in the Beer Garden the night before or what, but contrary to the norm the 935 and 4 are right side up. What struck me as interesting was that not only were the numbers right side up, but their normal places were reversed as well. It made me wonder if there was only one tool that stamped both marks.
