    1. It's always a cool thing when the faint maker's marks and in this case, an etched name become apparent later, that make the piece all that much more interesting. Thank you Dan. Regards, Joel
    2. Tom, I haven't seen a matchsafe with the same motif before. You mean you haven't heard of the von Stribblyname's? LOL! Joel
    3. Rick, Thank you for your reply. Upon further inspection, the name looks to be Frebe? Anyone significant? Joel
    4. Gentlemen, I just wanted to post an interesting Cigarette Case I purchased at a local Antique Shop. It has an inscription that I've tried to highlight with my photo shop software. Tell me what you think... Joel
    5. Beautiful Cross. Love the vaulting and clear Maker Mark. She's a 10.5 in my book! Cheers, Joel
    6. Blitz, If I may? I'd like to add these: 2 x KO Fr. we. H ED Thanks, Joel
    7. Thanks to Joe and the ribbon he was extremely generous in giving me, the Grandeur of this little baby has returned.
    8. Mr. Williamson, I must say you have an exellent example of a cased Friedlander! Very Impressive! Interesting to see there were other Crown variations. I personally own a 2nd Class Fr. and of all in my limited collection it is my favorite. Thank you for posting it. Regards, Joel
    9. It looks like the Tsarina had some influence on the on design on the back. Fantasic flag!!!! Joel
    10. Gentlemen, Thanks again for your compliments. It's pretty neat how the smallest hole in the wall places, sometimes have the most interesting little discoveries. Joel
    11. Mr. Williamson, I thank you for your post. I'm sorry to report as of yet, haven't had the chance to read any of your books. I plan too! Rest assured. Regards, Joel
    12. Guys, after further review and translation looks to be a Medal commemorating the Unification of Germany.. Joel
    13. Gentlemen, When I bought my Medal Bar this medal was actually on the back side of on the pin. So as I unlatched the pin, I noticed this was an entirely seperate medal that the pin was looped through! Does anyone have any further info they can provide about it? Regards, Joel
    14. Christophe, if you just amagine the places this Officer's been and things he's seen. Great Photos...Looks like a "man of distinction." Joel
    15. Laurence, your cross and it's original case and outer carton are stunning! Joel
    16. Allan, your cross seems to be a fine example of a Steinhauer and Luck, Ludenscheid manufactured cross. Very Nice! Joel
    17. Mike, very nice visor. Though I'm more of a Medal collector, I am occasionally intrigued with unique uniforms and visors. They say, "Good things come to those who wait" and that is the case here. Awesome condition and love the color and insignia on this one. Regards, Joel
    18. Paul, definately seems plausible. A fellow forum member and I (Stevo) had the same conversation in regards to the possibility of KO having a multitude of different "sub-contracted" companies producing various cores for them. Now, it seems as though there are more of us confirming this suspicion. Thank you for your reply Paul. Joel
