    1. I wonder if any of this U-Boat paraphernalia can be found in the local antique shops? Very interesting piece of New England History!! I live around those parts and had no clue!!
    2. What a rather nasty looking implement! While I would not like to imagine the damage such a piece like this would cause, I dont think that it is really practical to hunt with either(unless it had a tether attached, like a whaling harpoon). It does look a bit crude to be ceremonial... Your guess is as good as mine!
    3. How do make such sharp photos? Is this even possible with a regular 5.0 digital camera?
    4. Amazing rank insignia!! This is the only nautiker/engineer example I have seen!
    5. He received an RK for sinking four vessels? I thought that the criteria was much higher. There must be a lot more to his war history that is not alluded to on the data card.
    6. Congratulations!!! This is awesome news!! Did the criminal get charged with the crime?
    7. It is a very pristine set!! You did well yet again. This set is to a TSD Judicial Officer. These guys were regular Luftwaffe Officers, instead of officials. I will move them to the TSD thread.
    8. Very attractive and un upgradable!
    9. Thanks Bryan, Very nice... But I was referring to this photo: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?s=&showtop...st&p=252948
    10. Can you make some extreme closeups of the men in this photo? http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?s=&showtop...st&p=252948
    11. Nice!!! Are you sure that the recruiting field had High Grade Career personnel? Maybe the tabs are for another career that used the orange nebenfarbe?
    12. Congrats then on obtaining one of the rarer Heer Beamter boards!!! The second set are LSW/SHD Fuhrer boards. These two organizations were part of Luftschutz. A very nice and not commonly seen insignia!
    13. Another great new reference. It covers not only the Luftschutz organizations, but has heavy of the Luftwaffe as well. There are chapters devoted to fighter aces, Flak service, and many others. I feel that this book is a must have for any library. This is David Littlejohn's final book.
    14. Lets see your German WW2 era police reference books!! This is my first police related book. I bought it because of my interest in the Luftschutz and related organizations. The book is very comprehensive with a lot of Luftwaffe review. It has over 600 pages of pure information. Many color photos as well!! It will not disappoint. Bender has a few copies that are "damaged" available for 55 dollars!! Mine was a damaged special that came shrink wrapped from the manufacturer. The damage on mine was the little ding you can see on the corner. He only has a few left, at 55 dollars. If you want a MINT book, they are about 79 dollars.
    15. I remember when I was collecting Soviet stuff, Igor was strongly urging me to buy the one he had for 2000 dollars. It was too expensive for me at the time, as I could get many medals and orders for that price.
    16. That is one beautiful set!! I have not seen such a set of boards before!! Congrats!
    17. I can see why you love it!! IT is a beautiful decoration. Sorry for the ZAV post, but after seeing it, I could not walk away without making a comment!
    18. The rarest of the Lenins. I am scared to think what they go for these days.
    19. That is a nice set of tabs. If you are able to remove the wax, you might notice a big variance in the patina, where the wax covered the wire bullion.
    20. I will send a link to some friends who might be able to help.
