    1. I was amazed when a high end collector and friend of mine informed me of his latest acquisition!! I have been looking to see a color image of his collar tabs for a while! Now we have his entire uniform. The name of the collector and the source, I am not allowed to disclose. However, he has granted me permission to post the images. Admittedly, the collar tabs and chest eagle have been replaced. They were found in a pocket on the tunic. The shoulderboards have never been removed.
    2. Hi graham, I would love to see your tunic!!! I bet that you did a terrific job. The nebenfarbe is wine red. It is a bit different than the Arty bright red. The nebenfarbe on the boards shown is wine red. The scan makes them look a bit on the pink side. The color is very close to carmine(as used with General STaff Officers) but a little darker. Regards Paul
    3. Where do you find this stuff, Gordon? Amazing documentation you have there!
    4. Newest photo. This one is tiny. Maybe 1x1 inches. It looks like it is an extra made for Identification papers.
    5. Are there any collectors here who have more examples to show? I would love to see them!
    6. This is the first time I have seen NVA medical related badges. Thank you for sharing them! The army used the Green waffenfarbe for Rear Services, right?
    7. Thanks for posting that link!! It would be an awesome collection to find all of them!
    8. What colors are used what what branches are they used for? I see that medical is wine red.
    9. I can hardly see what you come up with next. I cannot get over the coveralls!
    10. I had no idea you had these!! The armor Captain's gimnastyorka and pilotka set is very attractive!
    11. I have just received this Officer Candidate Unterfeldwebel for Flight! Lets see your LW Officer candidate items!
    12. Amazing collection!! You must have all of his military related estate by now!!!
    13. OK... Here we go. I have just read pages 192-195 of "Uniforms and Traditions of the German Army 1933-1945, Vol 2" by Angolia and Schlicht. Like the GFP in the Luftwaffe, these men were officials with the same roles and responsibilities within their branch of service. The paygrades are for the officer rankings only. ALTHOUGH there were the Auxillary Field Police Officials. These were soldiers attached to the Field Police. They were regarded as officials yet retained their uniform as regular soldiers, with the GFP cyphers on their shoulder straps. For this reason, I do not think that the NCO photo Larry posted was GFP(but I do have an open mind!). Paul
    14. Those are some great photos Larry! Thank you! Based upon what I have read, there were no NCOs in the LW GFP. It seems as if the rules were a tad different for the Heer. It is interesting the differences in the branches of service! Larry, correct me if I am wrong... All GFP officials wore the silver "GFP" cyphers in the Heer(all paygrades). The only cyphers mentioned for use in the Luftwaffe were the gold colored ones. This would explain the two types, IMHO. The NCO you posted looks like the rough sort! Are you sure that the cyphers are "GFP"? I cant tell. Paul
    15. I too would love to see that "GFP" photo! I have never seen a period photo before. I would tend to wager that most of the time, they were either in civilian clothing or "undercover" in various uniforms. If they are like our US military equivalents, they would only wear their true uniform during special official occasions "off the job".
    16. Thanks Gordon!! I definitely feel lucky to have found it. There is another that I am trying to get as well (for an Oberfeldpolizeidirektor(Oberstleutnant)). Hopefully, I will be able to share it with you soon! Thanks Gary!! I always appreciate your input and help! Thanks Prosper!! From everything I know of your experience in this hobby, your compliments mean a lot! Hopefully we can meet up! Shoot me a PM when you know your schedule! Regards Paul
