    1. Here are the other tabs that are accompanying the Generals Tabs and the shoulder boards. I feel that these are all good, yet were removed from an album per the glue stains on the backs...
    2. Hi, I am being sent these boards with a lot of other items. I am most excited about the medical Academy boards as I have never seen a cypher set up like this.... I have been working to get the Medical boards for a few months. I posted them on the WAF and the response was that they were real yet the cyphers have never been seen before.. in reference or in person. Also, the person I am getting them from does not collect or deal in militaria.
    3. I have moved the items not dealing the the title of the thread into their own threads in this section of the forum. Thanks again... I look forward to your thoughts.
    4. This set of tabs accompanies a bunch of others(That I am confident are real) are being sent to me. I have not paid for them yet but the real reason I was interested in the lot was for these tabs as well as a few shoulder boards that are in another thread in the LW Uniforms Forum. Regards Paul
    5. Good evening all! I am thinking about picking these up. I see no red flags with this set, but I could have missed something. Also, I have no experience with General Officer insignia. Please tell me your thoughts! It will be greatly appreciated! Regards Paul Reck
    6. Hi Gary, You should post your reserve tabs. I would like to see the construction techinque! The only reserve tab I have is the single flak tab in this thread. The only Reserve tabs I have ever seen are for: Flight Flak Singals Engineer and one Hermann Goering Have you seen any others? I would love to have a medical reserve set... but I have never even seen one and do not know if they existed. Paul
    7. Hendrik I do understand what you are saying and that is one of the factors in my head. The second factor is that as you stated, there was only the one version of the EK2 in WW2. After WW1, a lot of medics continued their education to become doctors by the time the war started. Due to the nature of combat in WW2, many doctors received EK2s. For example, I have a Medical Officer Major's Fliegerbluse has an EK2 sewn to it. It would stand to reason that it would be possible for a WW1 Noncom EK2 awardee would again be placed into a combat situation to where an EK could be awarded. Hense my first question... I have never seen a noncombat EK2 with a 1939 clasp nor have I seen the NonCom EK2 next to a WW2 EK2. I am sorry for my confusing reply, and I hope you understand what I am trying to explain. Having a special fondness for medical tunics and bars, this has been perplexing me on and off for the better part of a year! Regards Paul
    8. I am wondering if anyone out there has a 1914 Noncombattant EK2 ribbon or medal bar that has a 1939 clasp to post. After thinking about the topic, I realize I have never seen this combination. Is this a possiblity? Regards Paul
    9. Hendrik, That is a beautiful award! How high up the award chain is this one and what was is awarded for? Paul
    10. Can you please post the photo? How and where did you find the microfische photo? I am trying to find one for someone I am researching as well. Rick, How do I find the newspapers that you made mention to? I bet that the person I am researching would have been in the local papers at least once? Regards Paul
    11. Thanks Hendrik! I bet that these medals demand a much higher premium in the collectors market! Regards Paul
    12. A good median price for the Luftschultz is anywhere from 35-90 dollars(the price ranges I have seen on various vendor sites). If the eagle is a real panzer, well over 100 dollars. I have never seen one for the Bund Deutscher M?del and Jungm?del before. Regards Paul
    13. Garth, Thank you for reply as it answered my questions perfectly. Am I correct in assuming that there was no reserve element of this area? Also, thank you for posting your flight and engineer examples. This is one area in my tab collection that has not even been addressed... yet. Also, thank you for your pics! I will definately have to find that Angolia series. On more than one occasion, my questions were answered with quotes from that reference! The funny thing is that I have the complete heer series(3 books), being a LW collector! Anyone up for a trade... ? I cant wait to see your collection in mass sometime! Regards Paul
    14. I noticed that a few of the medals had red crosses on them. Does this indicate that the awardee was a medic or wounded? Paul
    15. I agree with Rick on the Luftschultz insignia. They indeed had two different sizes. I assume the smaller one was for the hat and the larger was worn like a breast eagle. I have a breast eagle size in my collection as well. Rick, What other Luftschultz insignia have you seen used in the capacity of a tunic/hat device? These are the only official ones I know of!
    16. Garth, I do have a question about these wreath only collar tabs. I have seen them in a green waffenfarbe as well. Are these the only two waffenfabe? What do the various colors mean in these tabs? (does pink still mean engineering and green still mean admin) What is the difference in the actual roles played(between the engineers that wore the standard propeller/wreath tabs and the Sonderfuhrer(?) tabs without the propeller)? I apologize for the questions, yet my only reference pertaining to the LW is the two volume Davis book pertaining to LW uniforms and insignia. This reference (unless I missed something) did not get into much detail in the above questions. Thanks again. Warm regards Paul
    17. Juan, Beautiful grouping! Did the hat come with the tunic? I look forward to seeing what you turn up from archives! Regards Paul
    18. Hi Garth, Welcome to the forum! Thank you for your insight in the matter! It does not look as if I will be seeing one of these tunics anytime soon. I look forward to seeing your badge! Warm regards Paul
    19. Otto, Thank you for this interesting thread. I look forward to seeing how the story develops! Paul
