    1. Here's one GMIC Member Scott found - marked "MFP" I believe.
    2. Don't be so touchy giorgio - I was referring to the fake badge that was posted by Scott. (Fishing sinker, ha ha, oh well ) An "MFP" is not found on any Luftwaffe badge and would be a new marking for me on anything Third Reich. Hope this a reasonable answer. Silly me for trying to have a laugh..... ERIC
    3. A couple of my birds. Oh yeah, Mr. Miller, please give me a heads up when you start so I can fetch my sunglasses!! ERIC
    4. Congratulations on a superb collection nesredep! I love the KM uniforms ! ERIC
    5. Hi JTW, Thanks for your comments as always! I do indeed see what you mean regarding the excessive soldering - I honestly didn't even factor that in! The thing that actually steered me toward the Assmann theory was those striations - I've not seen this on anything but zinc Assmanns. Yes, the hardware on mine is definately a generic type used by many at that stage of the war, but these striations, along with the fact that when my badge is compared wreath wise to the known makers (and even to unmarked, unknown makers) it seems unique. We've not attributed a specific GCB to Assmann yet, but seeing as though they made what seems like everything else in the Luftwaffe series, you would think a GCB has to be in their mix SOMEWHERE. Here's my badge with a Juncker and an Osang with the similar hinge setup. Also seen is a remarkedably different left "window" in the clouds, so I'm sure it's not one of these manufacturers. OK, I guess for arguements sake we can call it a possible S&L, but those striations......AAAAHHHHH. I need to find another like this!! (Hopefully marked in some way!!!) ERIC
    6. Believe me, if I could find such boxes here in the states I would snap them up on the spot! John is right regarding shipping costs - to send a badge over here via FedX or DHL is in the $20-$30 dollar range, could you imagine what these would set you back?! ERIC
    7. Assmann?? I picked this badge up a little while back and I found that it is really tough to identify as it really doesn't conform to another maker IMO. The hinge and catch look to be of the Assmann variety, as does one other anomoly - those small striation lines found on the reverse, just like the zinker Assmann Flak Badges. I looked for the little "A" all over this puppy and came up empty - definately unmarked. Bummer! Just posting it here for thoughts. I have not seen these striations on any other makers zinc badges, just on some Assmanns. What do you guys think? Here's a couple of pics. ERIC
    8. What a doll! His "staring off into space" look gives me the impression that he just figured out what he's actually done! (Was I THAT drunk?....) ERIC
    9. Thanks a lot fellas, I appreciate your kindness! No Joseph, I haven't a clue as to whom the recipient could have been. ERIC
    10. Hi Guys, A little out of my usual realm of Luft Badges, but I couldn't help but show a little eye candy of a different sort this morning! My one and only cased DKiG - a "Light 20". This example would be very difficult to upgrade, really! I guess that's why it's the only one I've ever held onto. So, ohne weiteres...
    11. Very nice Jon - you're well on your way to becomming addicted! ERIC
    12. Very nice esemble '89'! Superb information on Boesch Robert! ERIC
    13. Hey Jos, Quick question - is there a particular reason for the numbering and lettering on the thermos? Just curious. ERIC
    14. Hello John, Here is a "No.2" example from my collection for your reference. If it matches up, and is in as good or better condition as this example, I would go for it. ERIC
