On the recommendation of the Minister Council, it was awarded to individuals, enterprises, organizations, and armed force groups for "exceptional merit" in relation to ideology, culture, economy... My questions : 1. Who has been awarded the Karl Marx Order number 1 ? (The SN is visible on the Ausweis related to this Order). 2. When has been awarded this Order SN 1 ? 3. Where are today located this Order and the corresponding "Ausweis" and "Urkunde" (docs) ? Good luck!!! Ch.

Hi Gerd, This is the Russian conductor Valery Gergiev. In 2005, he has been awarded the title of Knight of the Order of the Dutch Lion. Valery Gergiev is a director of the St.-Petersburg Mariinsky Theatre, whose name is also associated with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Metropolitan Opera and the London Symphony Orchestra.
