SS Serial Number Question

Thanks Bernie. One of the GMIC forum members was nice enough to post a page from the 1939 SS List with Fritz Michiels name, which was exciting news. I have one of these (without the box of course) and it doesn't glow. One clever feature is if you rotate the bezel, it allows half of the underside to become clear, so you can place it on a map and see through the compass to the detail of the map. Scott -

Nice shot of the 'big-eagle' glider badge and Cholm Shield (without backing) - likely attached to K.G.z.b.V 172 during the battle. Odd pommel on his dagger - doesn't look like a LW dagger pommel to me. Scott -
