Thanks Guys ..I'm really glad I found it . ..you're right Chris , not that many people want to follow that close ...but when they pass , it's all smiles and thumbs up . Guess they aren't use to seeing a Chef driving a WW2 Jeep with and Anti Tank Gun everyday ...sounds NORMAL to me *************************************** I was thinking of painting this on my Armor Shield but ..that wouldn't go with a WW2 vintage Gun ...unless I changed "Iraqi" to "Japanese" -
BROOKLYN ?? You're down in the City ...you'd have to come up here , go to the center of town and go down 4 Oak Trees and and take a left ..then keep going until you see a Skunk and take a right at the Skunk ..then follow down the Trail and across the Brook. Better yet ....why don't you just come up here and I'll show you , that's much easier The Antique Dealers up here say that the NYC Dealers pick this area clean and bring everything down there . It makes me wonder because , there's not much Militaria to be found at the local shops anymore. I use to blame Ebay for the "slump" ..but since they banned the TR items , I thought we'd see more at the shops now.

We've all seen reference books become collectors items themselves but $1,200.00 for Iron Time?? that's a little outrageous. ..if that keeps up , Latvia will start making repro books Gordon's Book is a must have for any serious WW2 Reference Library ..I could see that selling for $200+ -
Thanks Cam ...I think it's hard to find any 98's today period . Unless you pay the price of course I'm still trying to figure out when they jumped to $800 and $1000. For years 98's were $100 to $200 ..maybe I'm still stuck back in the 70's and 80's

Hi Gents ...You have to remember that the Dietrich's Type A & B designation refers to the dies used for the RK's only...not the 1st or 2nd class EK's . Ralph ..you found a great Medal here ...I would have bought it in a heartbeat

I debated whether or not to post this final picture but , since you mentioned the Trials and his being one of the first sentences carried out ..I feel it's relevant. From his files ..I see him as being a loner , not really fitting in with the "boys" ..he was invited to many events but , declined the invitations ..he was very involved in his work and a real "Political Animal" . For example , In one book they said that he supported General Vlassov's attempt at creating a strong POA ..however I have many letters from him to Himmler,Goring and Lammers dead against the idea of arming them ..he always worked behind the scenes and stayed out of the limelight as much as possible. You were very lucky to find that Badge ...I'm glad it survived!
