    1. I'm also sceptical about that bar, too easy to fake with that type of sewing.
    2. That's a new one for me as well. Thies has a checkered past when it comes to selling fakes.
    3. Agreed, pictures aren't optimal, but the fakers are busy.
    4. I saw that one and thought the whole thing was a fake, including the spurious engraving filled with spelling errors.
    5. OK, I'm in agreement that he hopefully finds something useful to do in the future.
    6. The seller claims that this piece came out of the von Alvensleben estate. Buy the piece, not the story.
    7. Sign of the times. Yes, there are lots of dealers, not the point. And as far as problems go, picking fights with heavily armed neighbours is a pretty stupid survival strategy. I could go on.
    8. Sorry to hear this, I had only good experiences dealing with Baldes. Regarding the political climate in Europe, I think the people there need to make some coherent demands of their so-called leaders, before it's too late.
    9. I don't have a lot of experience with these, having owned only a few, including one first class with oakleaves, which were of the solid variety (marked for gold content). Your piece looks good to me.
    10. Rick is correct. I would like to see extreme close-ups of the details in the heraldry.
    11. Hmmm, I guess you could get triggered by these.....
    12. Hard to say. The gapping of the ribbons is not even, and it is pretty easy to mess with this type of bar.
    13. Anyone have any ideas about this one? There is a name scratched in to the back which I can't make out.
    14. That's a pretty weird combo. Allegedly an Austrian, with one Saxon award. A HK but no corresponding Austrian WW1 commemorative. A Karl Troop Cross with a Signum Memoriae. And where is the reverse medallion for the AK?
    15. Hard to find these without damaged enamel, but still crazy money.
    16. That's pretty cool enamel work, but this forum is for Imperial Germany.
    17. Continuing with the HOH theme, not much enamel on this one.
    18. I thought all the cases from Foehr were scripted on the outside?
    19. Hmm, could be real, precedence is correct for post-Anschluss, but so many fakes are floating around these days.
