    1. I'm posting my first documented group in my collection that just came in today. I like to collect items or medals related to the city of Berlin. So I decided to buy this medal group which comes from a soldier who did the Battle of Berlin. Anyway, I'm not sure if everybody who was awarded the "Medal for the Capture of Berlin" did fight on the street of Berlin??? Here is what consist my first little group. Maybe not that impressive, but for me it is a good start for my collection in collecting medals group. 9 medals (including one Polish medal and one civilian medal) 1 order ---------------------------------------------- Awarded to Vladimir Tschibulsky Kuzmy ---------------------------------------------- Red Star #1.622.694 in booklet Mounted together: Combat Service Medal #2.179.894, mentioned in order booklet Combat Service Medal unnumbered, mentioned in order booklet Victory over Germany, w/doc Capture of Berlin, w/doc Following mounted together: Liberation of Warsaw, w/doc 30th Anniversary of Armed Forces, no doc Polish Oder, Neisse, Baltic medal, with 2 documents for this medal 20th anniversary of Victory w/doc The group also contains a civilian medal on blue ribbon for winning the 1st place in a 500 meter event for running, swimming or something else? ---------------------------------------------- Following documents present, but NO medals: 30,40 Anniversary of Victory 50,60,70 Anniversary of Armed Forces 25th Anniversary of Victory veteran badge There is also missing to this group a # 3 548 078 Red Star, probably awarded for long service which is listed in order booklet. And the 40th Anniversary of Armed Forces medal and document are missing. ---------------------------------------------- Is there anything else I should know about this group that I forgot to mention?
    2. Very nice Gerd! I still doesn't have a wartime example in my collection.
    3. And here are my not so special last addition to my collection. Labor medal Medal for Military Merit
    4. Nice one Stogie. I wasn't fast enough on that one.
    5. What would be a reasonable price? I know that CR is always overpriced.
    6. I really like that "polished" Cavalier group! For me that is history at its best! I like them worn or with nice patina. A minty order is for me an order without history. By the way, this is just my opinion. Each one has there way to collect.
    7. I have a stupid question to ask. Why some Red Banner screwback have a silver finished and other a gold finished? (Gold on the left and silver on the right) I thought before that the gold finished came with later issued Red Banner. I have a post-war Red Banner with a gold finished and my 2 WWII Red Banners have a silver finished. I would appreciate if somebody could enlighten me?
    8. This badge is so gorgeous! What is the name of this badge? Police sleeve shield?
    9. Chuck it is just amazing how lucky you are to have been at the right place at the right moment to get all these precious medals in your collection. I always enjoy looking what you post from your private collection.
    10. Thanks Gerd. You are right. he seller just told me that it was shortened by the owner for comfort, because the original screwpost was too long. He says it's not unusual.
    11. Yes I'm planning to research it, but it would be in a few months because I'll be away from home for few months. I don't know if you can see it on the next picture, but the screwback has been shortened. There isn't much place to screw the nut. To you have any idea if it could have broken or it was shortened by somebody?
    12. And here are pictures of my first Order of the Red Banner screwback.
    13. Isn't Enak Pocheta the Badge of Honor? If that is the case, he DID get the Badge of Honor! Very nice Order of Lenin yoy got Darrell. he think you where looking for a complete set like this for a long time. Now you got it.
    14. It is said here that the errors on the Belgrad and Kiev medals have been made in Moscow in 1993 by a particular. It says that nobody was ever awarded this medal with such an error. http://awards-su.com/index/md/zaosvbelg/ru/zaosvbelg.htm http://awards-su.com/index/md/oboronakieva...boronakieva.htm
    15. I don't know, but it is for sure post-war as it was made by the IKOM-Zagreb.
    16. This is a killer helmet! Wie viel verkaufst du es? I really like the wear on your helmet. Wish I could find one like this for my collection! My Luftschutz helmet is unfortunately denazified. Thanks for sharing your helmets with us. I'll wait for your other pictures!
    17. Thanks for sharing your group with us Gerd. Very nice group and the first I see mounted like this with the sino-soviet medal! What's interesting is the wear of the Soviet medals ribbons and the sino-soviet medal. I guess the vet coulnd't find replacement ribbons for is Chinese medal so he only changed teh Soviet ones on the medal bar. Thanks again!
    18. You have a nioce growing Yugoslavian collection! Again great display.
    19. Very nice Dolf! I love those Red banner like you! I have only 2, but I'm planning to buy my first screwback. The second case is just awesome. I just wanted to share my opinions even if I have already seen those cases somewhere else.
