    1. Hi Heiko, Your 2 medals bars are quite nice. The pure Prussian is hopeless to ID as long as no other info is available about the wearer. The Baden one also screams "General" to me. I can try my luck. Best regards Daniel
    2. Holla!!! one more! Str?mpell is now my jubilee WK3X holder! Now I can trace exact 300 of them! His first name is written at the dedication; KURT! Niice pic! Can You please post a better closeup of the medal bar? Pos. 3 might be a Prussian war aid cross and between his WK3X and the Brunswick 2 I assume a Saxon War Aid cross. Best regards Daniel
    3. ehh Brian, niiice one!!! Here I have a Rosette from Godet:
    4. Hi Guys, This bar is for a while in my collection and I THINK I managed to ID it. The bar shows: Bav. King Ludwig Cross, BavMMO 3 or 4, Iron Cross, BavJubilee, PrRAO, plain blue ribbon, BavLong Service, Austrian war ribbon. So it looks like a typical rear area Officer / Beamter or recalled zD or aD type. I went through plenty of old listings and came out with just one hot candidate. All my other suspects I could erase for other decorations in WW1. I believe it belonged to Gerhard Freiherr Harsdorf von Enderndorf. In 1907 he went zD as Major, the 1914 Military Handbook lists him with: BavMMO4, BavJubilee, BavXXIV, PrRAO4, PrJoh, WtbgF3a, RussAnna 3 All match my bar and the Russian Anna was not longer worn in WW1. He was NOT recalled for WW1 according to the 1926 ERL, just his brother Alexander, who made even General. The clue why I think it is him: my Bavarian secret Wunderwaffe lists him at the 8th September 1917 as LtCol a.D decorated with an Austrian Military merit cross with war decoration! I do wonder, how a not- recalled guy could receive this and not the usual rear area Franz- Joseph order. If any of You have more sources it would be great! Best regards Daniel P.S. BTW I want to express my thanks to Paul Chepurko for the magnificient job he did with the Rangliste on CD Volume!!! It is really a pleasure to work with it. No longer small letters and symbols in 100 year old books; screen- size clear readable scans!
    5. Did somebody mention a Leopold knight? Here is one: Best regards Daniel
    6. My god, before I went to Bosnia in may we spoke that he will visit me in october. With him a very good friend, a Gentleman, a great Collector passed away. My prayers to Lorraine and the Family. Daniel
    7. That ribbon looks like "Baden" to me. I?ve seen a Waffenring- cross just short time ago on a medal bar wiht a plain green ribbon. Best regards Daniel
    8. ach ja, Hohenzollern... BTW here is a silver-gilt Godet Hohenzollern knight without swords. Awarded ca. 24 times in WW1- this was awarded to Ernst Vollbehr; the war painter of the Army Group Crown Prince. Best regards Daniel
    9. just a little addition; a Bavarian fire brigade Schnalle in prinzengr??e on a ribbon bar with the Michael Order 4th class:
    10. Hee, guys, thank You all for Your nice words! The pink explosive dino!!! It was already PETN and no C4 but I think it makes the same sound while exploding. How the hell You remember this old story??? I have to look around to find that old pic... Best regards Daniel
    11. Hi Guys, I?m new here and want short to introduce myself. Maybe some of You know me from the WAF whre I moderate the Imperial Forum. I was away the whole summer in Bosnia "for an upgrade of my fruit salad" and a good relative brought me in here. Since nearly 5 years I?m in good contact with the "evil twins" and I?m a far "cousin" of them.... but a good one.... I?m 32 years old, married, have 2 children and I earn my bread in the German Air Force where I serve now as Master Sergeant in Defense Region Commande in Potsdam. My main collecting interests are German medal and ribbon bars and the ID of them. I hope we will have a good time here. Best regards Daniel
    12. Unfortunately no Reu? rolls around...I?m down to around 100 possible guys. HOH3X, RM, BZ3bXE - combo is the clue. I?m just not sure if it is enough for a hard ID. Best regards Daniel
    13. Hmmm. I would think it is a knight 2nd class. Swords might be outfitters mistake. BTW, I have th brother of Your bar... Best regards Daniel
    14. Hi Paul, I want one immediately. You have my adress.... Best regards Daniel
    15. Easily possible. He still did not have 25 years in service in 1914 so he had to wait for his XXV until the early 20ies. BMV4X (Lt to Captains level) can be a colonial one with the upgraded M1913 war ribbon or a WW1 award. Traceable? MAYBE, but I?m not sure. Best regards Daniel
    16. Hi, that bar is a hit!!! The Star of Brabant is really a rare one!!! This is the exact 2nd ribbon bar with one of them and the first one with a crown I see. if You do not mind, may I use the pic for my ribbon bar project????? Best regards Daniel
