    1. Eric, I have to agree. You can find better prices for them. 8-10 times more Doc
    2. I have one, too. It has a non-magnetic core. Doc
    3. The shape of the cross on the middle Soviet Marshal looks like the shape of the CBE. It would be interesting to know which Grand cross Zhukov was wearing. Doc
    4. Gerd, Thank You!!! I've bookmarked the website for future reading and downloaded the abbreviations. Doc
    5. Paul, I can see where you would feel cheated. I left Basic training with three ribbons, one was my Expert Marksman Ribbon as the Air Force uses a ribbon instead of a badge for Marksmanship. Doc
    6. This one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL Orders I have seen. Sometimes I wish I had started with the Imperial States. SOOOOOOOOOOO many stunning ODMs!!! Doc
    7. Mike, I'm having a hard time finding the medal in post # 10. Which one is it? Doc
    8. Hendrik, Thank You!!! I just checked and the maker mark Koninklijke Begeer is on the reverse of the medal. Doc
    9. Thanks for the identification of your medals and badges and the GREAT pictures!!! Doc
    10. Christophe, I would gues that it is the maker. I'm not sure. Doc
    11. Ed, Thank You!!! Have a GREAT weekend!!! Doc
    12. Good Morning Ed!!! I would appreciate it if you would move it so they can be merged. Doc
    13. Deruelle, First, Thank You for your service. Would you please identify you medals and badges? Doc
    14. Hendrik, Thank You!! I appreciate the information!!! I would ask that it be moved to the proper thread: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?s=&showtop...ost&p=55044 Doc
    15. What is the first medal on Major General Henry Gordon Bennett's Medal bar? Doc
    16. Lukasz, You have my sincere apology!!! After getting a vague response from Doc Wes I am left with "egg on my face". I concede to your statement and this is the TYPE II. I have always respected your expertise just as I respect Doc Wes'. Thank You for setting me straight. Ed, You Too!! It seems that there is an error in Doc Wes' book ala Paul and Paul's Motherhood medal in their book. Lukasz I won't dismiss your comments and would appreciate them in future posts. Doc
    17. Here's the Netherlands 1940-1945 War Cross with Amhem-Nijmegen Walcheren Bar. I would appreciate any information about this medal. Doc
    18. I did make a mistake. I placed a person over the evidence. I have great respect for both Doc Wes and Mr. Lukasz. In this case I must stand by the evidence from Doc Wes. In the near future I'll have the Type II to compare. Until then I'll try to remember that it's the evidence NOT the personality. Doc
    19. Mr. Lukasz, Please see page 45, Fig. 105 in "Polish Orders, Medals Badges and Insignia Military and Civilian Decorations 1705-1985" by Zdzislaw Wesolowski. Doc
    20. Hello Ed, I'm going by what he said and his book. It seems that anytime I post a Polish medal Mr. Lukasz finds something wrong with the information. I'll take Doc Wes' word over Mr. Lukasz's any day. Doc
    21. Lukasz, This came straight from Prof. Wesolowski and the text and description straight from his book. This is a Type I. Type II has no enamel. I've been mentored by Doc Wes for some time now. If he says it's a Type I then it is a Type I. Doc
    22. No, but unfortunate for guys on my budget. I have to save for major purchases like the Polish medals. Not a complaint just reality. Doc
