Obviously it is 2nd H School (although usually it is 2 not II) By what for this H stands for? Nikolayevsk? Nikolayevskoe (very unlikely ...)? Go figure... Another scenario H II stands for Nicholas II. But why then such strange form of H and not a standart monogram of Nicholas II? Well, there were 144 (!!!) schools ;)

This is of course Praporshchik School Badge. Made in bronze (?) or is it patinated silver (?) Such badges were made in silver (marked), silver (unmarked) and bronze. This one was made before 1917 and certainly before provisional government times (crowns ). The real question to what praporshchik school this badge belong to ... The key for identification is this shield ...
