    1. The first wave of high-quality faked Orders for Personal Courage came to the market around 2003-2004. This vintage came straight from one of the ex-soviet Baltic republic. Let’s examine these fakes since they are undoubtedly the most numerous class of high-quality faked Orders for Personal Courage. Etalon fake Please take a good look at this fake № 2146 Obverse
    2. Since some of my good friends (and members of this forum) collect Soviets (daredevils! ) I decided to create this little thread. Just in case Hope it will be appropriate especially since the original Order for Personal Courage could cost you up to 2 G`s (even right in the middle of the second wave of world wide crises ) and sometimes even more …
    3. Glad you like them Andreas! Here come another fake beauty from the same (Baltic ) manufacturer. № 2278 Obverse
    4. Yes, we do ... Well, if the chinese red cross medal (posts #35 and #36) design indeed was established no earlie than in 1940, then the medal in post #47 and #48 probably was issued somewhere between 1938 and 1944/1945... The strangest thing is the design of this medal. Obverse from Wang Jingwei medal. Reverse bears Manchukou Flag. How this is possible?! They really detested each other! P.S. Here you will find alternative english-chinese translator http://www.worldlingo.com/en/products_services/worldlingo_translator.html and english-chinese dictionary http://www.tigernt.com/dict.shtml
    5. You will find your answer here BP http://soviet-awards.com/forum/soviet-bloc-awards/soviet-sphere/democratic-peoples-republic-korea/dprk-medals/54396-commemorative-medal-great-fatherland-liberation-war-1950-1953-a.html Regards, Nick
    6. Nope, nothing new and VERY interesting about this hypothesis ... If you`ll look at the very first post http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/54899-red-cross-medals-and-orders-of-chinese-republic/ you`ll see that this was one of the variants The problem is that we don`t have any hard facts for this hypothesis (i.e. single documents, documented groups, statutes, etc). Well, we`ll wait and see...
    7. Here you will find some of them http://www.medal-medaille.com/index.php?cPath=124 Cheers, Nick
    8. Ok. So you think that medal in post #35 and #36 and medal (order) in post #41 and #42 were issued by Wang Jingwei collaborationist government in Nanjing (established March 30, 1940). As for medal in post #47 and #48 all you can say is that it is one of the variations of Manchukuo red cross medals. Do you have any time estimates for this medals? If indeed medal in post #35 and #36 was issued by Wang Jingwei government then the time period is obvious - between 1940 and 1945. But when medal in post #47 and #48 was issued?
    9. Don't worry, you won't miss a thing Here comes another opportunity to use your Google translator http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/54899-red-cross-medals-and-orders-of-chinese-republic/page__st__60
    10. Chiang Kai-shek?! Chiang Kai-shek = Chiang Kai-shek administration? Go figure ... He sure did. Lucky bastard!
    11. Do you really think that Hugh couldn't use Google?! If so, then I believe you missed the point
    12. Gotcha So these are names ... 汪系 - well-known traitor http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wang_Jingwei 蒋系 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiang_Kai-shek ? Are you sure about 1946? I was under the impression that he died in 1975... Now who issued this or that medal ... This is the only question. Could you help us with these questions? Medal in post #35 and #36 was issued by 蒋系 or by 汪系? Medal in post #41 and #42 was issued by 蒋系 or by 汪系? If medal in post #47 and #48 was issued by 汪系, then why it has 旗 洲帝國 on reverse?
    13. These are 100% fantasy fakes BP. Some mix of North Korea and Communist China ... Regards, Nick
    14. These are indeed 1st class (silver one) and 2nd class (bronze one) Medals of Liberty (obverse indeed bears inscriptions URHEUDESTA / FÖR TAPPERHET - "for bravery" in Swedish and Finnish. As far as I remember all medals of 1918 vintage were made in Sweden by Sporrong (S&co). One person could be awarded with both classes. 15433 1st class 1918 medals were issued 13212 2nd class 1918 medals were issued Regards, Nick
    15. Interesting JC! So this "medal with the flag" is not the national red cross medal, but branch medal. Issued by 汪系 Wang Department (Water consumption department?) 蒋系 - Jiang Department?! Do you have any info about time of issuing of this medal with the flag? After 1938? Around? Before?
    16. Thanks JC! Could you show the reverse and the box cover?
    17. Indeed! Even with these chips (which are quite interesting, since they demonstrate to us the texture of silver under the enamel )!
