    1. Here's an idea for a Fallschirmj?ger display I'm planning. The picture is heavily cropped and reduced in quality. Neil
    2. I've added some higher res pictures to a thread at WAF Link:(EK is at the end of the thread) http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/sho...d=1#post1319705 thanks for looking! Neil
    3. Can anybody please suggest a maker for this Iron Cross? It's incredibly crisp with sharp features and is of the highest quality. The core is magnetic and it the paint is flat The pic doesn't show this, but it's about as good as I can do within the forum limitations for the moment. I've had it for a while and often wondered who made it. Any help is appreciated. thanks Neil
    4. Just wondering,is it the same badge as in post 1? (John states that the badge has no maker mark in the initial post). Not intending to nit-pick,just clarifying. Neil
    5. This one is from the Juncker in question The image is unclear close up,but it does seem to show a slightly different configuration to those pics posted above.
    6. Don't know if this helps, but perhaps the maker mark looks a little unusual with the 'L' in Berlin failing to slant as I've observed in other Junckers.
    7. That sounds like a great endeavour Marc. I'm sure it will be successful with your personal family connestions as motivation. Good luck! Neil (hope somebody does this for the Fallschirmsch?tzenabzeichen someday)
    8. Thanks Rich. You must be very pleased with your new addition. I hope to add an Assman to my flock soon too... Neil
    9. I realise this is getting a bit tiresome, but this is my last post on the subject.... Here's one that I've found on the net. The eagle looks a fair match I think. This is obviously being sold as a reproduction and it's from one of the lower profile German dealers as can be seen. Neil
    10. That is a great looking badge Rich. Any chance of a shot of the back when you can? Ta, Neil
    11. The badge is no longer in evidence on the update page from where it was sold. For those that haven't already noticed, there's a discussion of this same badge at the WA forum: http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/sho...ad.php?t=139317
    12. Zinc, late war production-offered from Niemann today. Anyone care to comment?
    13. Here is a picture of the Lozenzo Brown GWL. Could be a match?? Original is here: http://lbmilitaria.homestead.com/files/paragwl.JPG
    14. Detail-as best as forum limit allows.
    15. Does this count? I bought it for my son and he's thrilled with it.I think it's pretty good too! The para badge is very well detailed-could even be a JMME.
    16. Thanks for the link John. These pre-war paras are very different from their later bretheren. The first time I came across them was from pictures of Neil Howes early Junker with the unit and name inscription. After a search,I think this is the thread I mentioned earlier: http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/sho...Fallschirmjager These are obviously pretty rare then-certainly more so than the wartime badges. I must say though,in purely visual terms,I prefer the second style of eagle(wouldn't say no to one of 'em however!) Neil
    17. Can anybody confirm that these 1st pattern badges were only accepted as stand-alone originals just a few years ago? I just seem to remember a thread at WAF that questioned these and suggested that they may have been early Assman badges. Perhaps I dreamed it though..... (I am not hinting that they are anything but original of coures!) I will search for the thread in the meantime Neil
    18. Thanks for posting the pictures Chris.Very clear images and much better than my pathetic attempts to date! (Para badges really fascinate me and I just love to look at new badges as they come to light!) Just wondering about the maker. Is it an unmarked late war zinc Juncker? Please bear with me chaps,I don't have many of these on file so I'm just making a(partly)educated guess here. cheers, Neil
    19. Hi Chris, I'd like to see any more pictures of your para badge please. thanks, Neil
    20. Yep John,no idea where it is.....you gotta believe me,I haven't looked. All that I know is that it's wrapped and hidden somewhere. Under the tree is too obvious. Isn't it? Neil (I take it you're still in the same predicament and your will hasn't broken???)
